Norway vs. France Prediction: World Cup Picks & Best Bets (June 26)
Last Updated: June 26, 2026 12:24 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
With first place in Group I on the line today, I'm making my best France vs. Norway prediction ahead of all the action starting from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., at 3 p.m. ET (FOX, Telemundo, FOX One).
My World Cup best bets are backing Les Bleus to take all three points and secure top spot in the group, thanks to another goal-scoring performance from megastar Kylian Mbappe. I don't expect Erling Haaland to be outdone by his counterpart, albeit in a losing cause.

⚽ Who will win Norway vs. France?
France has risen to the top of the World Cup odds thanks to their irrepressible attack and solid defensive work. They can score from any attacking area of the pitch, and I don't see a vulnerable Norwegian defense preventing them from bagging at least two, potentially three.
Norway is also excellent going forward, scoring seven goals in the first two matches. However, France presents an altogether sterner challenge. With Norway pushing forward and trying to equalize, I expect France to score an insurance marker.
Score prediction: France 3, Norway 1
💵 My best bet: France ML and Under 4.5 goals (+100)
Both teams can score in a flash from half-chances, but France has a far superior defense. That's where the difference will lie in this contest.
With Norway needing a win to secure first in the group, they will be slightly more risk-forward in the second half, which should open some space for France's lethal attack. France scored six goals in the first two games, while Norway bagged seven. While both attacks are formidable, France will lock it down defensively and score a late insurance marker.
🦶 Who will score in Norway vs. France?

Kylian Mbappe, F, France (-105)
Mbappe scored seven goals in his previous three World Cup matches, including a pair in each of the first two matches and a hat trick in the 2022 final against Argentina.
The French megastar has 16 goals in as many World Cup matches and is just two behind Lionel Messi for the most all-time. He scored at least one goal in all four World Cup qualifiers he played in and bagged 42 in 44 games last season with Real Madrid.
Norway's defense won't be able to cope with the prolific Frenchman.
Best Norway vs. France goal-scorer pick: Kylian Mbappe (-111 via BetMGM)
🏁 Starting lineup information
Early reports of Norway benching most starters has surfaced.
This will impact the goal scoring market dramatically as Norway is likely to have backup defenders in as well.
🥅 Will both teams score in Norway vs. France?
With how prolific both teams have been, I'm going with yes. Haaland can score against any defender, regardless of their stature or pedigree, and Norway has shown an impressive ability to create chances and execute. In fact, Gordon Brunt has broken down what to expect from the superstar in his Erling Haaland player prop bets.
France have a ridiculous number of creative players who can score, and Norway doesn't have an elite rearguard. That should translate to both teams scoring.
Both teams to score (BTTS) pick: Yes (-143 via BetMGM)
