Les Bleus’ new era under Zinedine Zidane is underway, and I expect arguably the greatest French international of all time to lead his men to victory in my France vs. Belgium prediction.

France are the clear -250 betting favorite for today’s Nations League match at Stade de France in Saint-Denis (2:45 p.m. ET, Fubo TV). Kylian Mbappe is out after suffering an injury against Turkiye, but France have more than enough firepower to make do in his absence.

I’m featuring one such individual in my player prop.

France ML & Under 4.5 goals (-105)

France are unbeaten in three matches since Zinedine Zidane took the coaching reins from Didier Deschamps. While Les Bleus weren’t at their best in the 1-1 draw at home against Italy last time out, they played a complete match to secure a 1-0 win against Belgium a week ago.

France won 1-0 in Turkiye in Zidane’s first match in charge at the start of the current international window. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have been impressive recently, winning 2-0 in Italy and 3-0 at home against Turkiye.

However, Belgium couldn’t match Les Bleus on home soil, which provides even less confidence that they’ll do so in France. And they’ve lost six straight to France, a streak I believe will extend to seven.

Score prediction: France 2, Belgium 1

🔥 More France vs. Belgium expert picks

Michael Olise anytime goal (+190)

I’m going with the hot hand here, as Michael Olise scored in the previous two games against Italy and Belgium. Olise was on the pitch for only 10 minutes in Belgium when he scored the 88th-minute winner, and he followed that heroic moment with another four days later on French soil.

Olise’s goal against Belgium was his first in nine games for France.

While he’s not accustomed to scoring frequently for Les Bleus, Olise is in scintillating form for Bayern Munich, bagging eight goals in seven matches, including a hat-trick against Union Berlin in the previous Bundesliga match. With Kylian Mbappe out, he’ll also feel more of an impetus to fire on goal.
