Top soccer picks
Total: Wolfsburg vs. Leipzig Over 3.5 (+182 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
RB have netted at least twice in five of their last six matches against Wolfsburg in all competitions and they are looking to extend their goal-scoring tradition when they travel north this weekend. Before their 0-0 draw in front of Schalke last weekend, Wolfsburg were involved in high-scoring clashes against Bayern (2-4), Union Berlin (1-2), Werder Bremen (1-2), Hertha (5-0), and Freiburg (6-0).
Both Wolfsburg and RB are involved in the race for the Champions League spots, with RB desperate to win to keep their chase of Bayern alive at the top. High tempo, high scoring. That’s what we expect in Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.
Spread: Bayern -1 vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach (+114 vs BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bayern look to have found their rhythm and are looking better and better with each game they play. After a precious 1-0 win over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday, the Bavarian giants should switch back to domestic dominance mode and clean up in Monchengladbach.
Borussia is far from consistent at the moment, having lost 4-1 to relegation-threatened Hertha Berlin last week. The hosts only sit 10th in the Bundesliga after 20 matches, so everything except a Bayern win would be a major surprise. Judging by how the season went for Gladbach so far and with serious unsolved issues on the table, Borussia don’t look capable of seriously worrying Bayern.
Upset: Rayo vs. Sevilla (+120 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐
Sevilla escaped the dangerous area of the table, and they can now concentrate on climbing as much as possible. Pressure is gone, with an obvious eye set on next season, so Sevilla have few excuses not to entertain.
Rayo currently sit in sixth place, dreaming to listen to the Champions League anthem at their ground in the fall. But there’s still a very long way to go until that can happen and games against opponents of Sevilla’s caliber can easily reveal their weaknesses. Rayo lost to Real Sociedad 2-0 and to Betis 2-1 over the past month, showing liabilities which Sevilla can also take advantage of.
Parlay: Napoli to win vs. Sassuolo and Over 2.5 goals (+115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐
The Scudetto is coming! Napoli are flying high, playing fantastically, and awaiting a big feast at their Diego Armando Maradona Stadium come the end of the campaign. Luciano Spalletti’s men have a 15-point advantage in front of second-placed Inter with 16 matches left to play this season.
Even if 15th-placed Sassuolo is undefeated in their last four matches, they still don’t look capable of stopping a team that’s on a great mission this year.
