In a crowded field atop the latest Super Bowl odds, the Detroit Lions reminded NFL bettors why they shouldn't be slept on after beating the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.
The Lions rank among the five-best teams in the league by the latest NFL odds after a statement win in Baltimore to avoid falling below .500. Detroit ranks just behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers - the co-favorites in the NFC - while the Buffalo Bills lead the way just ahead of the Ravens.
Our NFL expert Gary Pearson also breaks down the latest NFL MVP odds with Josh Allen leading Lamar Jackson heading into Week 4.

📈 Super Bowl odds movement after Week 3
Check out all of our early NFL picks for Week 4.
- The Lions (+1300) reminded bettors why they're a threat to win it all with a statement road win over the Ravens (+550), whose odds didn't slip much even after falling to 1-2.
- The Eagles (+750) avoided any slip in the Super Bowl odds market after an inspired second-half comeback against the Rams (+2200).
- The Packers (+800) held a 10-minute lead over the Cleveland Browns (+40000) in the final minutes but stumbled late in a 13-10 loss.
- In an AFC West battle between dark-horse contenders, the Los Angeles Chargers (+1600) rallied late to knock off the Denver Broncos (+4000) and sneak into the top five by the Super Bowl odds entering Sunday Night Football.
- The Minnesota Vikings (+4000) and Seattle Seahawks (+6000) both saw their odds improve after winning by 30-plus points, while the Indianapolis Colts (+5000) keep climbing after a 21-point win and a 3-0 start.
- Did we write off the Chicago Bears (+12500) too soon after a tough showing last week? They bounced back with a 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys (+12000), who still have shorter odds despite a 1-2 start.
🦁 Lions make statement with upset win over Ravens
Remember when everyone wrote off last year's No. 1 seed in the NFC after losing both coordinators from a 15-2 team? That feels a little reactive in hindsight after a second-straight big win for Dan Campbell and Co.
This one, a 38-30 win in Baltimore that felt like a heavyweight bout from the opening bell, saw Detroit's offense post 426 yards with 24 first downs and zero turnovers against one of the more talented defenses in the NFL. The Lions also chewed clock all night to stall an inconsistent Ravens attack.
Losing Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn isn't a nothing-burger for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. But if Jared Goff keeps making throws like the ones he made on Monday night, I think this team will be just fine.
🔵 Lions Super Bowl odds (+1300)
Detroit was dealing as high as +1600 entering Week 3 despite blowing the doors off the Chicago Bears last week - that's the cost of a bad first impression in a 27-13 loss to the Packers in Week 1.
While it's imprudent to overreact to one win in mid-September, Monday's result was a reminder that this offense has all the pieces at its disposal to sustain a deep run into the postseason. That's especially true with Campbell trusting Goff to throw darts in key spots, as he's done through this Lions renaissance.
While some shops have the LIosn priced as short as +1000 after that big win in Baltimore, you can still catch +1300 odds via ESPN BET with a $10 bet at those odds returning a $130 profit in February if Detroit finally wins its first Super Bowl.
🦅 Eagles show championship mettle in comeback win
After a woeful first half for the Eagles offense that had social media calling for offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo's job - cries that can still be heard postgame, by the way - it looked like Philly's perch atop the Super Bowl odds in the NFC might finally be threatened.
Then Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' star receivers took over in the second half, as the reigning Super Bowl MVP finished with 226 yards and three touchdowns (plus one rushing touchdown) to spearhead a ridiculous comeback from down 26-7 to an eventual 33-26 win.
Of course, that doesn't happen without the defense stepping up, too - holding the Rams scoreless over the final 29:06 before blocking Joshua Karty's game-winning attempt as time expired in truly stunning fashion (especially for those who bet Rams +3.5).
🟢 Eagles Super Bowl odds (+750)
If you've been waiting for the right moment to bet the Eagles to win it all, I'm not sure that Week 3 necessarily swayed your view - especially after the offense looked listless for the first half.
But that second half reinforced what we already know about this Philly team: it simply knows how to win games. That sounds trite and immeasurable until you remember how many games Nick Sirianni's group have won over the past few seasons that played out eerily similar to this one.
The Eagles would still be my pick to win the NFC even over a dangerous Green Bay team - which didn't look all that special this week, for what it's worth - and you can still bet them at the same +750 odds via DraftKings that were available last week. A $10 bet at those odds would return a $75 profit if Philadelphia repeats as the Super Bowl champion.
⚡️ Are Herbert, Chargers the new team to beat in AFC West?
The last time anyone other than the Chiefs won the AFC West, Justin Herbert was still the president of the Sheldon High School Fishing Club in Eugene, Ore.
He looked like a full-grown quarterback on Sunday, dicing up a stellar Broncos defense for 300 yards to help erase a fourth-quarter deficit and building upon the Chargers' two-game lead in the AFC West through the first three weeks.
With Herbert throwing darts in key moments and Jesse Minter's defense looking like one of the NFL's best units - it held Denver to 265 total yards and 2-for-13 on third down on Sunday - it's time to take Jim Harbaugh's quest seriously to snap the Chiefs' nine-year streak as division champions.
🔵 Chargers Super Bowl odds (+1600)
Los Angeles has everything you'd want in a potential Super Bowl champion: an elite head coach and quarterback, a menacing defense led by All-Pro talent, and a run game that can churn out efficient yardage with home-run potential (even after a likely season-ending injury for Najee Harris).
The one thing I don't love about betting on the Chargers to win it all is the price. You can still back them at +1600 via FanDuel, which would turn a $10 bet into a $160 profit, but they'd still need to fight through a treacherous AFC that features the last three NFL MVP odds winners.
Still, those odds imply a 5.88% that Los Angeles wins the Super Bowl this year, according to our odds converter. It's hard to watch the way this team has withstood every challenge through the first three weeks and not be intrigued by a long-shot bet on the Bolts.
🎯 Best long-shot bets to win the Super Bowl
⛵️ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2200)
The Buccaneers haven't made it easy through the first three weeks, but they remain 3-0 after winning a third consecutive game with a score in the final minute. Even with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) on the mend, Baker Mayfield continues to show why he's one of the most underrated passers in the NFL - don't sleep on the Bucs at these +2200 odds via bet365.
🐎 Denver Broncos (+4000)
Look, I'm not trying to spin the first three weeks as a positive for a Broncos team that entered with the season with a ton of hype. But I'm a little surprised a team that just went toe-to-toe with the Chargers - who are now in the top five in the Super Bowl odds - would be a 40/1 long shot. I'd buy at these long-shot odds via DraftKings.
🟣 Minnesota Vikings (+4000)
Minnesota's offense is clearly a work in progress behind rookie J.J. McCarthy (who missed Week 3 with injury), but Brian Flores is pressing all the right buttons defensively for a team that has the components to make a deep run. I'm willing to be patient with McCarthy and head coach Kevin O'Connell after this team won 14 games last year with a comparable roster.
🐴 Indianapolis Colts (+5000)
I'll be the first to admit that I'm deeply skeptical of the Colts even after a 3-0 start. At some point, though, it's time to acknowledge that Shane Steichen and Co. are doing something right in a league where wins are tough to come by. If Daniel Jones' growth under center is legit, this is a playoff team that remains priced as an afterthought at bet365.
🟢 Seattle Seahawks (+6500)
I was high on Seattle relative to expectation coming into the season, and we've seen Mike Macdonald's team pull off an outright upset last week followed by a 31-point win on Sunday. The 'Hawks face a pretty favorable schedule on paper, and the NFC West remains wide open - that alone makes this team a screaming value in this market at FanDuel.
