In a less than inspiring Monday Night Football clash, the 3-7 Seattle Seahawks will take on the 4-6 Washington Football Team. The Seahawks appear ready for a complete rebuild that doesn't involve franchise icons, Russell Wilson or Pete Carroll. Washington is also trying to figure out how they'll proceed beyond 2021 as they have a massive question mark at quarterback.

Sometimes the most unappealing matchups spark the most interest from gamblers. This game has a tight spread that brings some value for bettors.

Here are my picks and predictions for the NFL Week 12 matchup between the Seahawks and Washington (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

The largest line change of the week belongs to this game. The public quickly took advantage of oddsmakers' misjudging how Seattle was viewed, as the line swung from Seattle -3.5 to Washington -2.5 in some books. Maybe it makes you late to the party to grab Washington now, but we can still find the Football Team as just one-point favorites at some books.

Meanwhile, the Over/Under has dipped a little bit from 48 to 46.5. This is the correct direction, and I think it could stand to go down even a few more points.

Washington -1 (-105)

Washington is decidedly below-average in most phases of the game except their run defense, which ranked sixth in yards per game. But it hasn't helped them overcome an offense sorely missing decent quarterback play. They're vulnerable, but the Seahawks haven't looked at all capable of taking advantage.

Wilson has been awful since late September, throwing for more than 200 yards just once. Since coming back from his finger injury, he's thrown just 368 yards and two picks against the beaten-up defenses of Green Bay and Arizona. Washington may not be good, but Seattle is worse despite the high-profile quarterback.

Under 46.5 (-105)

The Football Team is coming off back-to-back 48-point totals but this line seems seriously misguided. Seattle, even with Wilson, hasn't pushed a total Over 47 but twice this season. Their defense is bad and will allow points, but the combination of an explosive offense and bad defense simply hasn't occurred often.

Washington also hasn't been pushing totals high because of their own inconsistencies on offense. Before this recent two-game offensive explosion by their standards, Washington went four games without scoring more than 22 points. I think this will be a 24-21 type battle unless the Seahawks suddenly solve a lot of issues and put together a blowout.
