Kenneth Walker III won last year’s Super Bowl MVP as a member of the Seahawks, and his return to Lumen Field as the league’s leading rusher for the Chiefs is a major talking point of this Sunday Night Football matchup for Week 7. My Chiefs vs. Seahawks player props expect Seattle’s defense to ruin Walker’s homecoming, which should open up more opportunities for Patrick Mahomes in the passing game.

I also add my top anytime touchdown scorer wager as part of my NFL Week 7 predictions. Kickoff from Lumen Field in Seattle is set for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC), and the Seahawks are a 2.5-point betting favorite.

Chiefs vs. Seahawks best prop bet: Patrick Mahomes Over 31.5 pass attempts (-114)

Follow all of our NFL analysis and betting advice for the 2026 NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes has attempted 30 or fewer passes in four of five games while Kenneth Walker III has averaged a league-high 133 rushing yards per game. But Mahomes’ early numbers suggest it would be wise to let him throw more often, which he will need to do if his team finds itself in an unusual spot trailing.

Though Mahomes is averaging a career-low 34.8 dropbacks per game (21st), he is averaging his highest yards per attempt and yards per completion since 2019. And even though Seattle generates pressure at a top-3 rate, Mahomes has taken just six sacks.

📡 SBR Edge - The matchup versus Mike Macdonald

Patrick Mahomes has faced a Mike Macdonald-coached team once in his career in the 2023 AFC Championship Game. Mahomes attempted 39 passes in that game and completed 30 for an average of 6.2 yards per attempt.

More Chiefs vs. Seahawks prop picks

Kenneth Walker III Under 85.5 rushing yards (-115)

The positives for Walker III are that he leads the NFL with 6.3 yards per rush, and his 665 rushing yards are the most in the first five games in Chiefs history. But Seattle also hasn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in 35 consecutive games. That’s a franchise record and the longest active streak in the NFL.

Kansas City leads the NFL with 3.0 yards after contact per rush and seven rushes of 20-plus yards. But Seattle is one of the best tackling teams in the league, and allows the third-fewest yards per rush to running backs (3.5).

💰️ Chiefs vs. Seahawks SNF prediction

I break down why the underdog will likely cover in my Chiefs vs. Seahawks prediction.

AJ Barner anytime touchdown scorer (+290)

Seattle's offense has its work cut out for it in the red zone, as Kansas City ranks second in the league with allowing just one of opponents’ every three red zone trips to result in a touchdown. But while Kansas City is focused on taking away Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who leads the NFL in receptions (49), receiving yards (717), and receiving touchdowns (seven), tight end AJ Barner becomes a sneaky red-zone target.

Barner’s 72.5% route rate is the fourth highest among tight ends. Meanwhile, Kansas City faces the ninth-highest percentage of pass plays, and tight ends have scored more than one-third of the passing points the Chiefs have allowed (second highest).
