Barcelona vs. Real Madrid Prediction, Picks & Odds for Sunday's La Liga Match
El Clasico is arguably the most anticipated match of the season across the continent, and I can’t wait to see how my Barcelona vs. Real Madrid prediction pans out.
Barcelona are the sizable -160 betting favorite for Sunday’s match at Camp Nou (4 p.m. ET, ABC). Despite the home side’s immaculate record, I’m backing Jose Mourinho and Co. to escape the inhospitable environment with a draw.
That’s not my best bet, though. For that, I turn to one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, Kylian Mbappe. But I’d be remiss to exclude La Liga’s top scorer, who is also featured below.

I’m backing a rare draw between the Spanish juggernauts. I expect a close encounter, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see Real Madrid absorb all sorts of pressure and escape with a 1-1 stalemate.

Kylian Mbappe anytime goal (-110 via FanDuel)
Mbappe continues to put up prolific numbers, netting 12 goals in as many matches in all competitions. He scored in all three Champions League appearances and has nine goals in nine La Liga matches.
He has found it more challenging to score on the road, with just one goal in four appearances. But I’m not concerned about that potential hurdle, as Mbappe saves his best for marquee encounters, specifically the El Clasico.
He has four goals in the previous two La Liga meetings with Barcelona, netting an away hat trick in May 2025.

Barcelona have a perfect record in La Liga entering the match, winning nine straight and outscoring opponents 39-9. It’s a remarkable start to the season, presenting an ideal opportunity for Jose Mourinho to do what he does best: deliver clutch results in pivotal away encounters.
Real Madrid have won seven of nine league matches, losing on the road to Atletico Madrid and Real Betis. However, Los Blancos are playing their best football of the season and have won seven of the previous eight, including four in a row.
Losing this match would put Mourinho’s men nine points behind Barcelona, an insurmountable deficit, even at this early stage. I expect Real Madrid to hang on and escape with a draw.
Raphinha anytime goal (-110 via BetMGM)
Raphinha leads La Liga with 12 goals in just eight matches. His goal-scoring exploits have been astonishing, as the Brazilian scored in seven of eight matches before his recent cameo upon returning from injury.
Raphinha scored back-to-back hat tricks before missing the Getafe match with a thigh issue. He bagged six goals in three league matches at Camp Nou, scoring in every game.
My only concern is whether he’s at his sharpest after returning from injury. Raphinha played 20 minutes against Real Betis in the previous league match and totaled 60 minutes in the Champions League against PSG.
I’m confident that’s enough match time to get back on the scoresheet.
