My Ole Miss vs. Texas same-game parlay views the inconsistent No. 19 Texas team as a difficult side to back against the explosive No. 7 Ole Miss offense.
With Texas favored by 3.5 points, the action kicks off from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).

Best Ole Miss vs. Texas SGP & parlay picks for Week 8
Ole Miss +3.5 (-114)
On the body of work, it’s been a wildly disappointing start to the season for Texas. Though the comeback win over Ohio State marked a notable high mark for the Longhorns, the consistency hasn’t been there. Texas is 1-5 against the spread this year.
Out of four Power Four games this season, Texas hasn’t achieved a margin of victory that would cover this 3.5-point spread in any of them. For Texas to do it against a team with the ninth-ranked offensive in adjusted efficiency (per FPI) seems unlikely.
Under 53.5 (-105)
This feels like a lofty number considering the struggles of the Texas offense combined with the recent improvements shown by the Ole Miss defense. Though Ole Miss has seen most of their games clear this total, in their last game, the Rebels held Missouri to 3 points, perhaps fixing their defense during the bye week.
Texas home games are 1-3 on Overs this season as Arch Manning’s struggles and the Longhorns’ second-ranked adjusted defensive efficiency in the nation (per FPI) combine for low-scoring environments.
Deuce Alexander Over 70.5 receiving yards (-112)
Ole Miss WR Deuce Alexander is the lead receiver for Ole Miss, averaging more than 87 yards per game on the season. While Texas is stout defensively, the Longhorns allowed Jeremiah Smith to erupt for 164 yards.
Alexander has cleared this receiving yardage line in four out of his six games on the season. Trinidad Chambliss is the most dynamic QB the Longhorns will have faced. I don’t see them shutting off his top weapon in the passing game.
