Nets vs. Cavaliers prediction: Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 points (-117)

After going off for 32 points earlier this week, I'm backing Donovan Mitchell to exceed his scoring total in the Cavaliers' home opener tonight. Mitchell averaged nearly two points more in Cleveland than on the road last season (28.7 PPG).

The young and talent-poor Nets don't have the perimeter defenders to slow down an elite scorer like Mitchell. I'd bet the Over on Mitchell's scoring total up to 27.5 points at roughly -104 odds.

Wizards vs. Bulls prediction: Wizards ML (-110)

This game is being priced as a near toss-up, but I see a clear advantage for the visiting Wizards in the paint. A solid group of Washington bigs, headlined by Anthony Davis, will exploit the absence of starting Bulls center Nic Claxton. Even if Davis is limited on the second night of a back-to-back, Alex Sarr and Deandre Ayton are capable of picking up the slack.

Trae Young will be able to control the pace of this matchup by utilizing Washington's front court en route to a Wizards W. I'd bet the Wizards moneyline at any odds better than -120.

Warriors vs. Suns prediction: Under 219.5 (-110)

I'm basing this pick on the scoring struggles both teams have shown early on, especially the Warriors. Cracks are showing in Golden State's top-heavy, injured lineup. I don't know where the scoring will come from outside of Steph Curry and Brandin Podziemski.

On the other side, the Suns totaled just 83 points in their blowout loss at home on Wednesday. I don't expect a ton of points in Phoenix tonight, so I took Under 219.5 at FanDuel's -110 odds.
