In what profiles as the biggest blowout of Week 1, the lowly New England Patriots visit the Cincinnati Bengals, and that potential game script opens the door for multiple tasty yardage Overs.

  • A Jacoby Brissett passing yardage Over? In this economy?
  • Bengals are the biggest favorites of the weekend, with the Patriots serving as nearly 9-point underdogs by the Week 1 odds.
  • Tee Higgins isn't practicing Friday and the Ja'Marr Chase contract drama looms large: Will someone else step up for the Bengals?
  • Action gets underway Sunday at 1 p.m. ET from Paycor Stadium.

Patriots vs. Bengals player props: Sunday

Odds as of Friday and subject to change.

NFL picks made Friday; odds subject to change.

Jacoby Brissett Over 202.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Patriots quarterback Brissett won the starting gig over 2024 third overall pick Drake Maye, but it's likely just a matter of time before the rookie gets his shot.

Therefore, Brissett will do everything he can to hold on to the role, and he should get plenty of chances to chuck the football against the Bengals.

Cincinnati serves as a -8.5 favorite on Sunday, which could lead to a second-half game script that forces New England to abandon the run. The projections support that, too.

Brissett is projected for roughly 225 passing yards on Sunday. Based on that total, we're getting close to 30% positive expected value on this bet. Additionally, FanDuel is the only one of our best sports betting sites offering a total this low, as the rest are at 207.5.

The veteran's days as the starter may be numbered, but we at least know for sure that he'll get a chance to perform here in Week 1.

Rhamondre Stevenson Over 10.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Stevenson was built up as one of the most talented running backs in the NFL prior to last season, but he ended up falling flat due to a combination of a lack of talent surrounding him and injuries. He'll be looking to bounce back in a big way this year.

The Patriots brought in Antonio Gibson this offseason to serve as the No. 2 running back, and it appears his potential involvement has caused some to take a step back on Stevenson.

Our best sports betting apps certainly don't expect much from him, as this line of Over 10.5 receiving yards at FanDuel indicates.

Stevenson's projections for this road affair suggest he can still do some damage through the air. He's projected for around 17 receiving yards on Sunday, making this bet roughly 15% +EV.

Once again, FanDuel offers a rogue line, as the rest of our best sportsbooks list Stevenson's receiving yards prop at either 12.5 or 13.5.

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Chase Brown Over 51.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

Those who drafted Chase Brown (hi) probably aren't feeling great that the speedy running back is listed on the depth chart as the team's kick returner. However, there's still a lot to like about the second-year back.

Brown showcased his ability to get loose last season, and his speed could help turn him and starter Zack Moss into somewhat of a thunder and lightning duo.

There's some value on the Over for Brown's receiving yards prop, but the best bet is on his combined rushing + receiving yards.

Brown is projected to rack up roughly 58 combined yards, and his ceiling is sky-high considering his ability to break free in space. Additionally, the fact that Brown is listed as the No. 2 running back may actually help his cause.

If the Bengals go up big as expected, they could give more work to Brown to save Moss.

I expect Brown to get at least 15 touches in this game, making this a great bet with FanDuel once again offering a line a yard lower than the rest of our sites with the best sportsbook promos.

Best odds: -115 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.49%
