My NFL ATS picks for Week 2 include a bet on every game, but they focus on the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
There are four road favorites and three games have a spread of three points or fewer. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers are the only double-digit favorite.

Bengals (+3) vs. Texans ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Bengals finally have a competent defense, which they showcased by forcing four turnovers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bengals scored 24 of their 33 points off those turnovers.
Most impressively, the Bengals secured the 33-27 victory with Ja’Marr Chase accumulating just 12 yards on two receptions, and Joe Burrow throwing an uncharacteristically poor pick while amassing only 254 passing yards.
The Houston Texans’ defense, meanwhile, looks beatable after conceding 36 points and 409 yards in the Week 1 defeat to the Bills. With Burrow and Chase set for a better Week 2 outing, I’ll take the points on the visitors.
🔬 SBR EDGE
Burrow is 13-1 ATS as a road underdog of at least 2.5 points.

Lions vs. Bills (-4.5) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Bills' 36-31 Week 1 win over the Texans was immeasurably more impressive than the Detroit Lions' ugly overtime victory against the New Orleans Saints. The Lions' woeful secondary reared its ugly head in the second half, and Dan Campbell’s team almost threw away a 21-0 lead.
Tyler Shough racked up 378 passing yards and three TDs, while Jared Goff mustered only 206 passing yards at home. Without Jahmyr Gibbs and his 186 yards from scrimmage, the Lions would be facing a 0-1 start.
The revamped Bills defense, meanwhile, settled down in the second half, conceding just 10 points in Houston.
And I’d be remiss not to mention that it’s opening night at the Bills' new stadium, which should be the catalyst for Josh Allen to put on a show.
Jaguars (+2.5) vs. Broncos⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Week 1 Monday night debacle in Kansas City heightened my concerns about Sean Payton’s decision to hand over playcalling duties to offensive coordinator Davis Webb.
The Denver Broncos’ offense was putrid against the Kansas City Chiefs, mustering 176 total yards.
And the Broncos' defense, among the top-five units last season, allowed 31 points, 392 yards, and missed 29.8% of tackles, the third-worst rate since 2018.
While the Jaguars predictably ran roughshod over the ghastly Cleveland Browns, Liam Coen and Co. deserve more credit for the smooth and professional way they went about their business. They led 24-0 at halftime and would have cruised to victory even if the practice squad had taken the reins after the break.
