The New England Patriots host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in a meeting of AFC bottom feeders, as we make our best Chargers vs. Patriots NFL player props for Week 13 based on the best NFL odds at our best sports betting apps.

The Los Angeles Chargers have lost three close games in a row, falling to 4-7 on the season. However, this week, they face a team that has lost four games in a row and allows 22.5 points per game.

Bailey Zappe will get the start for the New England Patriots while replacing Mac Jones, who has thrown 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season. In limited action, Zappe is just 19-for-39 for 158 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

In addition to our NFL Week 13 predictions and NFL Week 13 player propshere are our best Chargers vs. Patriots NFL player props for Week 13 (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Chargers vs. Patriots NFL player props: Week 13

Austin Ekeler Over 86.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

This week, the Chargers should unleash all their frustrations from this season. Because of that, every Chargers’ star player is in line for a huge game. However, with Keenan Allen limited in practice all week, Ekeler should be the player who sees the most production this week.

Last week, he compiled just 64 total yards, as the Baltimore Ravens held him to 3.2 yards per carry and 6.4 yards per catch. Ekeler hasn’t combined for more than 70 yards in a game since Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. However, with the season on the line, the Chargers will need to get one of their key offensive weapons more involved in what is a favorable matchup despite the Patriots’ defensive numbers.

The Patriots are middle of the pack in passing yards allowed per game, and they actually rank seventh in the league in rushing yards allowed. But we’re not putting much into their season-long numbers. Ekeler is due for a breakout performance, and considering he averages nearly 18 touches per game, he should perform even better on Sunday, especially if Allen is limited in any way.

DeVante Parker Under 34.5 receiving yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Even though they held Lamar Jackson to 177 passing yards last week, the Chargers still have the worst pass defense in football. However, it’s unlikely the Patriots take advantage of this matchup, as they have the 10th-worst pass offense in the league and Zappe is starting.

Parker has cleared 35 yards only twice this season. Last week, he finished with three catches for 42 yards, but the performance was far from inspiring. This season, he has just 18 catches for 200 yards despite playing eight games. Considering he’s received just 30 targets, he will struggle even in a favorable matchup.

Four of our best sports betting apps have Parker’s total listed at 34.5. The only one of our best sports betting sites that differs is FanDuel, but it has the prop listed at 33.5. Since bet365 offers 34.5 for the best price, that's where we go for this pick.

Justin Herbert Over 1.5 touchdown passes (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Last week, Herbert threw just one touchdown against the Ravens. That performance came after combining for six in his previous two games. Herbert has been far from consistent in throwing touchdown passes this season, posting one or fewer in five of his games.

The Patriots allow only 1.2 touchdown passes per game, but that success could be chalked up to facing opponents with low touchdown pass numbers over the last two weeks. The Chargers are fifth in the league in touchdown passes per game. Even if Herbert struggles to gain yards through the air, the Patriots will turn the ball over enough that he will have short fields to work with.

The only one of our best sportsbooks asking a lot for this prop is FanDuel, which offers Over 1.5 for -122. All of our other best live betting sites are asking -115 or lower, with BetMGM providing the best odds.
