Sunday Night Football features the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens and 6-5 Cleveland Browns. This critical AFC North battle will determine so much for the final stretch of the season. We're breaking down the betting matchup in our Browns versus Ravens picks.

The Browns and Ravens have been far from dominant betting assets for us this season. Each is sitting below .500 against the spread and injuries have completely changed what their identities were. It's fair to say both teams have had just one good performance over the last month.

The series trends of this matchup are particularly interesting. Baltimore appears to have significant advantages in the trends and overall performance rankings this season. We'll break it all down and provide two solid picks for you to play.

Here are my picks and predictions for the NFL Week 12 matchup between the Browns and the Ravens. (Odds via DraftKings; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5 star scale).

Browns vs. Ravens Odds Analysis

With an opening line of 5.5 in favor of the Ravens, it's clear there was an early sell period until there was an update on Lamar Jackson's status. Baltimore's star quarterback deemed himself fully healthy and, as a result, the Ravens have stabilized as a 3.5-point favorite across the board. As much as I'd love to see that number drop to an even three, we may have to buy it down to solidify our footing.

The total has also dropped several points. Starting at a shocking 48 number, we're down to as low as 45.5 in some books. This seems more in line with where both of these offenses are capable of reaching.

Browns vs. Ravens Predictions

Ravens -3.5 (-105) ?????

We've seen some stellar games between the Ravens and Browns over the last four years. This one matters more than most, as the Browns enter in a must-win capacity. Baltimore can endure a loss, but a win would propel the team closer to a divisional crown and put the Browns in a tough spot before their bye week.

The problem for Cleveland is quarterback Baker Mayfield isn't healthy and not good enough - even when healthy - to count on to play well in big games. Baltimore has its own issues, but the current division leaders have won eight of 10 against Cleveland by an average of 10 points for good reason. They'll do it again this week as questions about Mayfield's future in Cleveland get louder.

Under 46 (-110) ???

I'd need more faith in the Browns' offense and Mayfield, in particular, to bet the Over here. Considering Jackson is returning from his own stint away and Mayfield's growing list of injuries, these offenses will be neutered a bit. I'm surprised the total is even this high.

Both offenses will run the ball a lot, and each defense has performed well against the run for much of the season. I think the Browns' run game has the edge as far as offensive talent, but the Ravens' run defense personnel is much better than the Browns' run defense personnel.
