Jimmy Butler ended Joe Mazzulla's playing days at West Virginia when he played at Marquette. Can he also end his coaching tenure with the Boston Celtics? Sportsbook Review betting analyst Jon Metler shares his top NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday's Heat-Celtics Game 4 using the best NBA odds.

Imagine getting the long weekend off from work, and then you return to find the Conference Finals almost over. If the Celtics don't secure a victory on Tuesday night, that's exactly where we'll find ourselves, as both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals could end in a sweep.

Thankfully, we won't have to wait until June 1 for Game 1 of the NBA Finals or anything like that. Otherwise we might need some LeBron James retirement drama to help bridge the gap.

In the event that this is our last NBA game for eight days, let's delve into the NBA player prop market via our best sports betting apps and ensure we walk away with some green checkmarks on Tuesday.

Here are our top NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook and PointsBet); pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday’s NBA player prop picks

Player prop: Caleb Martin Over 4.5 rebounds vs. Celtics (+100 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Game 3 was an absolute rout by the Miami Heat, but there were some key takeaways from this game, other than the fact that Martin finished with the highest plus-minus rating of any Heat player at plus 34.

In the early moments of Game 3, Kevin Love asked for a substitution due to an ankle injury, and Erik Spoelstra immediately called for Martin to enter the game. It's not so much the possible increased minutes that have me looking at a Martin prop, but the fact that Love not being on the floor opens up opportunities for everyone else to grab more rebounds.

We also have the possibility that the Celtics will mail it in with a 1-2-3 Cancun performance on Tuesday, which has the potential to ruin many player props. Martin was the first off the bench when the game was close in the first quarter, but he also saw playing time in the fourth quarter when the Heat were up by 30 points. If Spoelstra is going to empty his bench in the fourth quarter, it seems like Martin and Gabe Vincent are two regulars he will use to help anchor that second unit, with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler being pulled from the game. Butler is climbing the NBA Finals MVP odds board.

Apart from all the basketball reasons why I favor the Over on Martin's rebounding prop, we also have the betting numbers in our favor, which I value the most. Martin is projected to grab 5.1 rebounds against the Celtics, allowing us to price this prop at -125. In addition to the projections that suggest we should take action, the +100 odds available at FanDuel is a rogue price that we should take advantage of.

Our projections price this at -125, and several other sportsbooks agree with this assessment. BetMGM has the over trading at -120, and Pinnacle is even shorter at -133. If the +100 disappears at FanDuel, shift your attention to BetRivers, which also offers the Over at even money.

Player prop: Max Strus Over 1.5 assists vs. Celtics (+175 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Strus assist prop might not be the first bet that comes to mind when evaluating Game 4 between the Heat and Celtics, but let me try to convince you otherwise.

Admittedly, Strus has only managed to secure one assist across the three games of this Eastern Conference finals series against the Celtics, which is far from ideal. However, the opportunity to bet on the Over 1.5 assists at +175 through PointsBet makes this wager appealing.

Strus is projected to register 1.6 assists against the Celtics on Tuesday, which allows us to price the Over 1.5 assists at +120. That implies this bet comes with an expected value of 25%.

Strus logged three potential assists in Game 3, resulting in one actual assist on the box score. Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent also notched three potential assists, but he managed to convert each one into an actual assist. Both players finished with an equal number of potential assists, but Vincent's assist prop is currently set at 2.5, with the Over priced at -185 for Game 4. Doesn't the Over 1.5 assists at +175 for Strus seem more enticing?

Most sportsbooks set Strus's total assists at 0.5, with the Over priced at -260. By comparison, the corresponding price for the Over 0.5 assists at -260 would be +150 on the alternate line of 1.5 assists. Once again, we can clearly see the value in the +175 price PointsBet is offering.

Strus carries a boom-or-bust nature when it comes to his assist prop. But with the enticing +175 price for the Over 1.5 assists through PointsBet, I'm willing to bet on a boom from Strus in Game 4.
