The New York Liberty are looking to exact some revenge for their recent defeat to the Minnesota Lynx as we offer our Lynx vs. Liberty odds and prediction for today's WNBA game from Barclays Center (12:30 p.m. ET, ABC).

Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier won't feature for their respective teams, taking some shine from the WNBA Finals rematch featuring the WNBA championship odds favorites. We believe the Liberty will be better at home and secure the victory.

The Liberty are on a three-game win streak since Emma Meesseman joined the lineup, which has helped them mitigate the absence of Stewart. New York had dropped four consecutively right after Stewart’s injury.

Minnesota has won back-to-back games without Collier, but the Seattle Storm and Washington Mystics are inferior to the Liberty. This is the Lynx’s first true test without their best player.

Let this be a lesson to the WNBA schedule makers: Don’t wait until late July to showcase a rematch of an epic finals. The Lynx and Liberty are slated to square off three times in the next nine days, and both teams are dealing with injuries to top players.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t get a regular-season matchup with these rosters at full strength. However, Sunday’s meeting could provide a valuable data point for how these teams should be rated without their stars.

For the Liberty, it’s been hard to trust them when they aren’t healthy. They went 7-5 without Jonquel Jones earlier in the year before losing four straight without Stewart.

And then Meesseman (the 2019 Finals MVP) joined the team to help New York right the ship.

The Liberty have recorded nine-plus-point wins in three straight games. They're third in defensive rating during that stretch, which bodes well for their ability to silence a Collier-less Lynx team.
