In a game between two fast-paced offenses, I'm expecting the team with more firepower to pull through with a victory. Between Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston, Indiana has too much scoring talent to be stopped by a Sparks defense that was in the bottom half of the league last year.

L.A. coach Lynne Roberts wants to push the pace and lean on Plum, Nneka Ogwumike, and Dearica Hamby's scoring to win. But the Fever are well-equipped to keep up.
Indiana was third in the W in offensive rating (108.4) and field-goal percentage (45.6%) last season, and leads the league in pace through one game this season (88.7).
Last season, the Sparks allowed the third-highest true shooting percentage (52.4%) and the second-highest 3-point percentage while giving up 88.2 PPG. If their opener was any indicator, not much has changed - L.A. gave up 105 points to the Las Vegas Aces.

Indiana's opener wasn't the return from an injury-plagued 2025 that the Fever had hoped for from their star, with Clark shooting just 22.2% from deep. But she still managed to pick up seven assists in the loss to a much-improved Dallas Wings team.
