I’m surprised Jordan Spieth is teeing it Saturday morning. He wasn’t competitive down the stretch in the Friday afternoon fourball matches, as he all but left partner Justin Thomas to take on the European duo of Viktor Hovland and Tyrrell Hatton by himself when it mattered most.

If Spieth doesn’t tidy up his game, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood will take care of business in short order.

It took Jon Rahm eagling two of the final three holes for him and Nicolai Hojgaard to top Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka in the Friday afternoon fourball, so I’m comfortable landing plus-money odds for the Americans to win Saturday morning.

Viktor Hovland is in fantastic form, but I peg Scheffler and Koepka as America’s best and anticipate the moment becoming too large for Ludvig Aberg. And, hats off to the 23-year-old Swede if he’s able to hang with three of the best players in the world in front of a raucous crowd.
