The second round of the 2023 Masters is nearly finished, and Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker has evaluated the betting markets involving the Masters' projected cut line. Here’s a look at the data and odds from our best sportsbooks.

Year in and year out, the Masters sounds off as the soundtrack to spring. It never misses and always captures the attention of even the most casual sports fan as the world’s best golfers compete against the beloved backdrop of the Azaleas donning Amen Corner and Rae’s Creek at Augusta National Golf Club.

The cut line at the Masters carries a heightened importance compared to every other tournament on the calendar for sports bettors. A shortened field hits Augusta National Golf Course, and fewer players advance to play the weekend.

And as a result, it all adds up to cut line props cropping up as a popular market for both recreational and experienced punters. Here's what you need to know when looking to bet on the Masters' projected cut line.

Current projected Masters cut line analysis

The players capitalized on Thursday’s favorable scoring conditions, and in particular, a number of friendly pin positions. Augusta National proved to be more demanding Friday, and the weather has been just as prohibitive to scoring Saturday morning.

The weather took a toll, and the cut line will be +3. It is also projected to be +3 on the Masters' and PGA Tour's leaderboards.

Betting on the Masters cut line

In addition to the standard Masters oddssports betting sites will post various markets involving the cut line ahead of the Masters. Individual golfers will have their own odds for whether or not they’ll make the cut, and there will also be Over/Under markets for the cut number.

The Over/Under total through DraftKings is 146.5 for the 2023 Masters, with the Over priced at -140 and the Under trading at +115.

Prospective bettors can also expect to see a number of boosts and specialty markets available across our best sportsbooks that will involve the cut.

Masters cut rule

The top 50 players, including ties, following the second round of the Masters make the cut and advance to play Rounds 3 and 4. The cut line was plus-4 in 2022, and 52 of the 91 golfers in the field made the cut and advanced to play the weekend, for example.

It’s important to note that the cut-line rule was modified in 2020. From 2014 to 2019 any player within 10 strokes of the lead advanced to play Rounds 3 and 4, but that’s no longer the case.
