Masters Projected Cut Line: Rules, Betting Updates & History
One of the most popular Masters props bets in the days leading up to the event is whether players will make the cut or not, as well as a variety of options around the actual number the cut will be made at. The 2024 Masters cut line came in at plus-6, tying the highest number over the last decade, matching 2016 and 2017. In all, 60 golfers made it to the weekend.
Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Jordan Spieth, and Brian Harman headlined those who missed the cut in the 2024 Masters, as they fell below the line on Friday evening.

Betting on the Masters cut line
In addition to the standard Masters odds, there will be various markets involving the cut line ahead of the Masters. Individual golfers will have their own odds for whether or not they’ll make the cut, and there will also be Over/Under markets for the cut number.
Fifty players (plus ties) will play the third and fourth rounds following the 48-hole cut. In 2024, 60 players made the cut.
At bet365 we had a cut total of 148 (+4) set where you could bet on a three-way market. The Over 148 cashed at +333.

FanDuel offered a similar wager, but only on a two-way wager. While the odds were shortened with a two-choice market, the +4 or worse paid as a +110 underdog.

Masters cut rule
The top 50 players, including ties, following the second round of the Masters make the cut and advance to play Rounds 3 and 4. The cut line was plus-3 in 2023, and 53 of the 88 golfers in the field made the cut and advanced to play the weekend, for example.
It’s important to note that the cut-line rule was modified in 2020. From 2014 to 2019 any player within 10 strokes of the lead advanced to play Rounds 3 and 4, but that’s no longer the case.
