LIV Golf is storming into Los Angeles at an all-time high, and Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker has evaluated the available markets across our best sports betting apps and offers his best LIV bets based on the latest U.S. Open odds.
The storylines are writing themselves ahead of the 2023 U.S. Open, but I’m not sure anything brought more drama to Hollywood than last week’s PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger that has the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) set to invest billions of new capital into professional golf.
There are 15 LIV Golf players in the U.S. Open field, and they're set to tackle The Los Angeles Country Club this week. The list includes eight major champions, and Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, and Martin Kaymer also all have a U.S. Open title on their resumes.
Our Best LIV bets for U.S. Open 2023 also pair perfectly with our U.S. Open picks, U.S. Open sleeper picks and U.S. prop bets.

Best LIV bets for U.S. Open 2023: Brooks Koepka odds

Tournament matchup: Brooks Koepka (-110 via DraftKings) vs. Patrick Cantlay ⭐⭐
Koepka took some heat when he said majors are easiest to win and claimed there are only a handful or legitimate competitors in the field who he has to beat.
Well, Brooks, Cantlay is definitely capable of beating you across four rounds this week. I just don’t agree with them both being priced at -110 to win this head-to-head matchup.
Cantlay has four consecutive top-15 finishes in major championships, but Koepka has gone T-2, victory to start the season. Koepka was also good for four victories and another 11 top-10 finishes across 22 majors from the 2015 Open Championship through the 2021 edition. He only missed one cut, too.
In this case, Brooks only needs to beat a single player to cash this ticket, and he’s a majors ATM.
Best LIV bets for U.S. Open 2023: Phil Mickelson odds
| Sportsbook | DraftKings | FanDuel | BetMGM | Caesars | PointsBet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Win | +25000 | +21000 | +15000 ❄️ | +25000 | +15000 |
| Top 5 | +4000 | +2300 ❄️ | +2500 | +4000 | +4000 |

| Top LIV golfer | +2200 | N/A | +2200 | N/A | +3000 🔥 |
Make the cut: Phil Mickelson (+140 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐
This price is wrong.
The +140 odds have an implied probability of 58.3% that Mickelson will miss the cut this week. Additionally, there’s also a huge gap between what BetMGM is hanging and the +105 numbers available through Caesars and PointsBet.
The difference in the two prices is a whopping positive expected value of 17%.
Mickelson has already played the weekend in the first two majors of the season, including storming to a T-2 finish at the Masters. Add that Lefty also gained strokes in all five key metrics during those two events, and I’ll conservatively give him a 50-50 shot at making the cut this weekend which equates to a +100 price.
Of course, since we're talking storylines, Phil can become the sixth player in history to earn the career grand slam with a win this week.
Best LIV bets for U.S. Open 2023: Bryson DeChambeau odds
| Sportsbook | DraftKings | FanDuel | BetMGM | Caesars | PointsBet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Win | +4000 | +4100 | +4000 | +4500 | +4500 |
| Top 5 | +850 | +700 | +650 ❄️ | +850 | +850 |
| Top 10 | +360 | +320 ❄️ | +350 | +360 | +350 |
| Top 20 | +170 | +130 ❄️ | +170 | +170 | +170 |
| Make the cut | -225 🔥 | -235 | -227 | -250 | -250 |
| Top LIV golfer | +650 | N/A | +650 | N/A | +700 🔥 |
Top-20 finish: Bryson DeChambeau (+170 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐
It’s been a long and winding road for DeChambeau over the past few years, so it’s easy to overlook he won eight times world wide from 2018 through 2021. Additionally, he has a top-10 finish in two of the past three majors.
This track should also fit his eye and game. Bryson paced the PGA Championship field in strokes gained: off-the-tee and was 11th in SG: approach, so I’m anticipating another solid showing with his ball-striking returning to peak form.
I also added a DeChambeau +5000 ticket to my U.S. Open betting portfolio following his impressive showing at the PGA Championship in May. The best price available now is +4500 through Caesars and PointsBet, so the drop hasn’t been huge if you’re looking to be more ambitious.
