There is a HUGE difference between models/projections and actual data. They are not the same thing... at all. You can go back to any MLB season and look at projections for any team... some will be close... others will be WAY off. But the bottom line is... at the end of the season... you will have ACTUAL data. The actual data in sports... is not debatable... at all. But the projections... will ALWAYS be changing... throughout the season. If your team wins more games than what was projected... consider yourself lucky.
Social distancing appears to be working... we should consider ourselves lucky. But again... this is going to be a SEASON, not a game... not even a series...but a long long season. The projections will continue to be adjusted... but the data will always be more accurate than the projections. No, your analysis is exactly backwards as always. YOU do not have skin in the game. They have A LOT of skin in the game. They have the risk of dealing with an unknown virus. It was not known when these policies were implemented if the death rate was 4 per 100 or 0.5 per 100.
With no risk, you are more than willing to vote for 0.5. They don't have that flexibility. They have to consider the consequences of the complete devastation of their countries if they are wrong.
It does not help that the one leader that stood in your corner got corona and almost died.
Now Trump is knocking on Sweden which is the only country pursuing your preferred option. They can pursue that option because they know their govt is not going to sell them out. Trump is your only hope and he is fully committed.

Just imagine what her parents suffered and will keep on suffering to watch their daughter die right in front of them with ABSOLUTELY no medical help
treating her less than human...
Imagine the rage and sorrow of their whole ordeal.......
She is not a statistic or a number as she was a human being who
had many loved ones in her life......
I don't even know her and can feel the pain and sorrow of her loved ones........

There is not anything really being forced. Even in Sweden business is down 50%. If business goes down 50% in the US, it fails. Our system is built on just in time delivery and max profit. The shelves are empty and the hospitals are overflowing if you have any disruption to the system.

We distanced and quarantined too late. Just look at when we did, the surge was immediately after --- the virus was already loose. Check NYC as the best example, and joke city De Blasio and Cuomo, who did everything to not care forever (subway running? in NYC?) --- then acted like all of a sudden it was a crisis.
Very little change would occur if you let it rip and roar, it's pretty much what was done. This is just a cover job, makes the sheeple think we did something and that Cuomo loves you. Yeah right. What's worse now is that you won't have full herd immunity so it'll come back
