I would have raised or allined on the flop and certainly been allin by the turn. Most likely, the result would be the same though - not many people will fold top pair around here.

Finished 26th today in 10pm... and who other than to take my chips than Thad. I swear as soon as I was seated at the table (directly to right of him) his luck changed instantly. He won 3 hands in a row, knocked out a couple players and went from a 2k to a 5k stack with under 30 players left within 5 hands. Well of course the bb is at thad and everyone folds to me so I call with AKc suited clubs. bb was 300 and i had about 3500 chips. He of course raises to 1k (as I expected)... so I shove my 3500 thinking this guy has to run out of luck sooner or later (note to self: thad's luck runs hot til' the end). Thad calls and show K10d suited... flop shows 2 diamonds (i'm thinking unreal), but than I get my A on the turn (now I'm thinking o man just maybe I got him)... nope. Rivered a flush and knocked me out. Thad I know your a good damn player, but wow... you win so many hands to luck in these tourneys its unreal. Not taking anything away from your game, just frustrated because this month has not been very good to me. Just not winning the big pots once the tourneys get under 30 people... I'm probably averaging around mid 20's in these tourneys... very frustrating, but it is what it is.

Weird tourny for me today. Can't get anythign for the first 40 minutes (winning only 1 hand), then I win 3 hands in a row approximately quadrupling up. Suddenly everything is going my way (including knocking zam77 out on a bad beat when I make a huge error) and I build up a huge stack, first place overall. Everyone folds to my button and I have KK. I raise 4 blinds, sb allins (big stack) and bb is also allin (micro stack). Small blind flip A10, so I know my KK is in trouble. Flop is K10x, meaning it is over right? Nope, Q turn, J river. The miracle (2%) beat puts the guy into second and me about 6th of 14. He busts out 2 hands later when he tries to bluff allin into the first place stack, so he gets zip out of his miracle. I linger on not catching much, but surviving. Eventually I loose a flip to go out 6th.

On que, yes . I finally broke my little cold streak. Was large stacked for most of final table. Got a couple very nice hands at the end running larger pocket over pairs into smaller pairs.

Something happened in that game that hadn't happened before. Of course it will happen again. It was the first game that the top 3 had all previously qualified. So it was the first time that all 3 new qualifiers finished out of the money(points). The 10th place person was a new qualifier - the lowest so far is 11th. That will get much lower as the weeks go on.

I'm curious to know how many would be in the final if they required a top 3 finish for entry. If I can keep up with the results I'll let you know. Many believe that should be the requirement, but they want new pros so we can't complain.

Finished 10th in the 6pm ET today, I had about 6k in chips and got AQ hearts and Ninersnut raised it big and I didn't feel like just calling to see what the flop would be so I pushed all in and Ninersnut had QQ, no ace hit and I was done. I'm just glad I didn't take a sick beat like I usually do.
