LeBron is definitely the best basketball player and athlete of all time, no doubt about it. We haven't seen someone as complete of a player as he is.

It's too bad he may not win as many rings as Jordan so people will always be able to say Jordan was better.

Lebron cant shoot, isn't clutch, and proved in the 2011 Finals what he's made of.

Lebron playing the way he is now (not settling for bad outside shots/using his physicality at will) is the best player ever.......Or should I say most dominant player

Literally no weaknesses playing like this.....He also runs the floor so unselfishly with amazing passes when he wants to/needs to

Defense and especially help defense is unreal as well

MJ better pure shooter than Lebron but that's about it......He would get trucked by Lebron driving down the lane

maybe LeBron can learn to hit a better % of his free throws. MJ would fade away from him all day and swish swish swish... then put on move after move and drive right by him if you use prime LeBron vs prime age MJ in his best years athletically.... guys like P.Ewing couldn't do shit... you think LeBron would? lol LeBron would cry when the refs call fouls on him and then he might even go hide in the corner and not even try, like he did as his last game as a Cav... in a win or go home playoff game.

LeBron = quitter. Can't ever deny that.

MJ couldn't ever guard Lebron so I wouldn't go there......Lebron is just better than MJ in almost all areas of the game and way more physically dominant

Rebounding, Assists and passing to open teammates, Running the floor, Driving the lane at will, Post game, creating mismatches, Physicality, help defense and shot blocking Lebron is much better

MJ a better shooter and so far definitely better in last second situations.....And free throws

Lebron is not a quitter at all, just BS the haters like to throw around

jordan was already a 5 time scoring champion when he won his first ring.. and a 2 time steal champion and alot more other awards
lebron 1 scoring title .... no steals title..

dare you to youtube that critical game 5 @ HOME vs celtics 2010 playoffs if any videos are up of it... i remember watching the game pal and scratching my head at his non-effort and no emotion at all to losing. 2-2 series... cavs win they go up 3-2 in series... why didn't he try? he wanted summer and free agency...

He had a really bad game, shit happens.....That was a truly pathetic supporting cast btw but that's beside the point

Anyway, Lebron has gotten better the last few seasons since this video and is now the GOAT in my mind.....

He finally decided to take over games down low and through his sheer combo of physicality and athleticism to the point where no one in the league can keep up man to man....Basically has said fukk it with the bad outside shots I'm driving the paint try and stop me......And when they send 2, 3 defenders at him in the paint he almost always does the right thing with the bball.......Lebron is the best ever when he is in attack mode like he's playing right now

How is the record 6 games? Box scores in the 60's didn't record fg %, just made fgs. Are we really thinking that in '61 or '62 that Chamberlain didn't at times have maybe 10 games like this in a row?

Or maybe I'm reading the wrong boxes?

                                          to recap these 5 pages

                                          1) jordan is a pathological liar and stiff, who is revered by anyone that grew up watching him play basketball
                                          2) lebron is frowned upon because he played a bad game, and didn't give 100% effort when they were down 20 with 5 minutes left and headed for a loss. also frowned upon because he left cleveland after his contract was up (who wouldn't!!!)
                                          3) lebron backers are for the most part respectful in this thread
                                          4) jordan backers have to resort to calling lebron backers "dumb, stupid, ignorant, fukking clueless, stupid kids, etc etc" and my guess is that they really don't watch that many heat games because their mind is made up
                                          5) for some strange reason there are no wilt or russell backers, probably because the over 60-year olds aren't on sbr

I think LeBron has potential to be the greatest ever. How would MJ do if he played in today's game? I think the NBA as a whole has improved so much since Jordan last played that is hard to compare the two.

Can't shoot, are you kidding me? And he proved himself in the 2012 finals, you just decide to bring up a negative event to make your point which didn't even make sense. If ALL you could say about LeBron are those 3 things, then he sure as hell is head and shoulders above MJ. Good argument.

I agree with everything in this list.

This is a debate that's impossible to win. To Lebron's credit, you can see a debate starting to be made for him, which you couldn't do until recently. No doubt Lebron is the most physically gifted and dominating athlete to play the game. Nobody has had his combination of size, strength, speed, jumping and overall athleticism. Can't compare Jordan at 3 inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter.

False. Jordan made his living hitting mid-range and three-point jumpers and in today's league, it is favored towards players taking it to the rim. LeBron will not be a ten time scoring champion because he doesn't just score and there are better scorers in the league these days. Melo and Durant are scoring machines. LeBron is an all-around player with his passing, defense, and other intangibles. Not saying Jordan didn't have these, but LeBron is a whole lot more than scoring. If he cared about the scoring title, he would win it every year.
