post player(lebron has got better but still MJ is better), dribbling/handles, CLOSING games(lol we will leave this one alone), defense(yes, MJ was better defender, he didnt treat it like a part time gig), killer instinct, heart(MJ never took nights off even against the lower tier teams nor did he pout and quit on his team)

        theres your answer, now what?

You Lebron fappers really have to understand something, the reason Jordan supporters resort to name calling is, trying to rationalize with you guys is like trying to explain advanced chemistry to a retard, its not possible.

I'll give you a few of these but:

Lebron is definitely a better post player and even still improving in this area.....MJ probably better finesse moves but Lebron is way too strong. He creates mismatches like crazy......Defense 1 on 1 I think MJ is probably a little better but Lebron is everywhere on help D and transition D......

They are obviously both amazing and I always thought MJ was better until now.....The way Lebron has changed his game to more of a killer instinct he is simply too much to handle

Lets not forget that Michael Jordan didn't have any stars on his team when he was dominating the NBA. They had to pair Lebron with Wade and Bosh to make him relevant.

Different eras make it very difficult to say with certainty who is the greatest in ANY sport. Players now are ten times stronger & faster then at any other time. If you just dropped a player like Kevin Durant from our current era into the 1960's or 1970's he would be COMPLETELY unstoppable. That does not mean that the best players are all from our era because you have to factor in the different eras.

Babe ruth dropped into the year 2013 couldnt make a ML roster yet he is the best player of all time in baseball. You know why babe ruth is the best baseball player ever? He would hit 50+ home runs and no one else would hit 20. Not to mention he was the best pitcher of his era! That is what makes someone the greatest just CRUSHING their own era. That is an argument that favors Wilt Chamberlain in the NBA. Some of his years were SO SO dominant in the NBA stat wise.

Even the "Jordan has six rings argument" is not sound, hell Robery Horry has seven rings in the modern era. It is a team sport and without significant help NOBODY can win a ring. Like some other guys have mentioned there are several players with ten and eleven rings and some are not even in the conversation with MJ lebron Kobe, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, West. robertson, russell, ( thats bill not westbrook for you young bucks LOL ) etc etc

I will say this if you say the best ever are

                  1. Lebron
                  2 Jordan
                  3 Kobe

You are probably just dating yourself as a younger fan.

Push comes to shove gun to my head who do I THINK is the best ever? Probably Jordan, and Lebron could SOMEDAY could eclipse him, but not yet.

What did Scottie Pippen won after Jordan retired. Nothing!

Wade won an NBA before Lebron showed up in Miami.

Means nothing and Shaq was the main reason....Not to mention Wade was a much better player then

Scottie Pippen was a star, a Hall of Famer, and voted a top 50 NBA player of all time.....you're wrong

                        Not true.

Pippen in his prime was great, not very good. Even WITHOUT jordan he was a FIRST team NBA all star ( 1994-1996 he was first team)

                        7 time all star
8 time all defensive nba first team
2 time all defensive 2nd team

Every ring Jordan has, Pippen has.

Pippen was Top 50 in 1993. Right now he is not even Top 100.

They may not have been starters, but you bet Will Perdue and Bill Wennington easily carried Jordan into legendary status. Can't forget about Jeb Buechler. Without that one guy, Jordan may never have won any!

Again---are you forgetting that jordan had the best #2 (also a top 50 player of all time) in the league, best rebounder in the league, the best shooter in the league, the best european in the league, and the best coach of all time? weird how that works huh? yea, i doubt lebron would have ever won with those guys

I think most everyone is focusing on the wrong topic here. What's actually happening before our very eyes is that all the top athletes in the most televised sports, which means money, are all fukking black. Here we are talking about the best players ever and not even a white guy in the discussion except to get a laugh. Same with all sports. Unreal.

take a look at the bulls record the year jordan was out of the league... they were still a playoff team with arguably the best player in the league in pippen... now, try taking lebron off those cleveland teams and see what their record would be? I think we already know..

And Lebron has been relevant since he was drafted, but let's not let facts get in the way

Agree with MLD here. Horace Grant was a hell of a player also.

part of jordan's "mystique" is a bunch of complete lies he has repeated (like being cut from his high school team, which never happened), having some darn good teammates, and getting free throws every time he was breathed on.

Absolutely atrocious game after game. Then last year he attributed it to the team trying to disprove the critics and that in 2012 they were more comfortable with themselves. He IS a phenomenal player...right now one of the best ever...but compared to MJ he's a mental midget.

I just think that the way Lebron is playing right now (as in the last few months) he is playing like the most dominant/hardest to stop player ever.....Just overall all around game is at an unreal level
