Jordan no where near the passer that Lebron is. Not even close to the same vision.

Jordan all the way as the best. nothing compares so far. there are a handful of greats out there-- Kareem -Magic - Barkley - Malone,, goes on ,but Jordan is by far the best. Kobe is in the elite as well as Lebron , but even with Kobes rings and Lebrons all around flow there is only one Jordan

Now, before you jump ugly on your pal Nash, not saying Bird was better than James.

Jordan is no where near the passer that James is and it's not close. James is one of the most gifted passers in NBA history, even more so than 95% of point guards. Yeah I live NBA Raiders. I watched players step onto the court long before Jordan.

Then did you ever see Jordan disappear in the 4th quarter of a finals as Lebron did against Dallas? Or what about the clunkers that LeBron threw up against Bos in some playoff games? Jordan NEVER scored under 20 in the playoff finals.

While bird was a great passer, he is no where near James. D Wade and Bird both good playmakers probably the same vision. Wade averaged over 7 assists a game for many years.

Lebron's vision sets him apart. Only a few guys I've ever seen have that vision. Nash, Bron, Isiah, Magic, maybe a couple others. Not many. Also, bird was more of a guy that would create a play for a team mate out of the post or in a pick and role while James can create a lot more plays off the dribble. Those 4 guys I mentioned have eyes in the back of their head. Jordan could never make the passes that Lebron James can make. Jordan's highlight passes are all stuff he does in the air to deceive the defender and then gets a no looker to someone.

How many times did you see Jordan run a pick and roll and then throw a perfect bounce pass to the roller? He hardly did that. Neither does Bryant. They're almost the same player, Jordan and Bryant.

Still disagree on the passing. Jordan averaged 8 assists per game one year. There's very little difference in passing. It's just that at the end of the game, Jordan took over and made a few less passes while LeBron may dish it off in that situation.

                              88-89 : Jordan averaged 8 assists, 8 boards and 32.5 pts.

Jordan also played all 82 games in 9 different years.

I liked the flu game. They had to carry him off the court when the game ended. He wasn't going to miss the game.

goater ive probably agreed with every point youve made somewhere in this thread but i disagree with bird being nowhere near lebron passing the ball....bird probably managed to hang on extra year or two primarily because of his passing...if he wasnt such a great passer he'd have been a complete non threat offensively being a broken down man...and sure he was a shell of himself at that point but he was still very effective and borderline all star caliber (when he could play)

Nice Bird vid. Yeah the guy was an exceptional passer for sure. You can certainly make the argument. But Bron is about to be in some elite company as far as total assists when he retires. For a 6'9 270 pound guy.

I'm not buying the Jordan better passer than James argument though. I think Bird is a better passer than Jordan and at the SG position I know for sure that D Wade is a better passer than Jordan, Earl Monroe right on Jordan's level maybe. A.I. was a gifted passer too but he was kind of a hybrid not really a true 2 guard. I just think Bryant and Jordan are both pretty much the same player. Both are great passers and could have averaged 10 assists a game every year if they really wanted, but they're both so focused on scoring, I don't know, they just don't have the same vision that the Nashes and the Lebron's have imo.

Wade is much better than Pippen and Bosh is better than anyone else that Jordan had on his team. Miami should never lose a game.

Jordan led the league in scoring in 10 years and led the league is steals 3 years. LeBron has on scoring title avg/game and has never played 82 games.
