Tuesday’s NHL game picks

Predators moneyline vs. Lightning (+140 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

This +140 DraftKings price probably won't last considering the line movement across the rest of the market, and I also project this game to be much closer to a coin flip than this number suggests.

While the Predators may not match the Lightning in offensive star power, I’m skeptical of the supporting cast jumping the boards for Tampa Bay. The Bolts aren’t a deep team, and perennial Vezina Trophy candidate Andrei Vasilevskiy is out indefinitely after undergoing back surgery in late September.

I have Nashville priced at +116 on the moneyline, so we’re landing a positive expected value of 11% compared to the +140 odds available through DraftKings.

Tuesday’s NHL prop picks

Roman Josi Over 3.5 shots (+110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

I’m just looking for plus-money odds and an outlier price in the shots market this early in the season, and Josi fits the bill. He’s averaged 25:23 of ice time and 3.74 shots per game over the past two seasons, and I have him projected for 3.9 shots against the Lightning on Tuesday.

As a result, I’d price this Over 3.5 at -118 for a positive expected value of 14% on the +110 bet365 odds.

Additionally, Caesars has Josi priced at -131 to go Over 3.5 shots, and there’s also been line movement through DraftKings, with Josi down to +100 on the Over.
