Prior to the Chicago Blackhawks' meeting with the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker makes his top Connor Bedard NHL player props based on the NHL odds from our best sports betting apps.

Chicago Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard was finally held off the scoresheet during Monday’s 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Still, the rookie remained dangerous with four shots, six attempts and a pair of high-danger scoring chances across his 18:34 of ice time.

Thursday’s date with the Colorado Avalanche will be another tough test. The Avs are out to a 3-0 start and among the favorites in the Stanley Cup odds. So, how will the Calder Trophy favorite fare in the Mile-High City on Thursday?

Here are our best Connor Bedard NHL player prop predictions for Thursday's game against Colorado (odds via our best NHL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Connor Bedard Under 0.5 points (+110 via bet365) ⭐⭐

Colorado has given up four goals through its first three games and just 2.47 expected goals and 9.2 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes at five-on-five. Additionally, in Saturday’s game against the bottom-feeding San Jose Sharks, the Avs dominated 5v5 possession with a 68.7 Corsi For percentage.

The Blackhawks boast Bedard, but the rest of their roster might as well be a carbon copy of the Sharks.

So, with the benefit of the last change, I’m anticipating Avs head coach Jared Bednar to match No. 1 center Nathan MacKinnon and top-defense pair Cale Makar and Devon Toews against Bedard as much as possible.

Still, even with Colorado’s strong defensive start and a likely tough night of on-ice matchups, I have Bedard projected for 0.92 points Thursday against the Blackhawks.

There’s a sneaky edge in my numbers and the +110 bet365 price, too. I’d book this Under at -115, so we’re gaining a positive expected value of 12%.

Connor Bedard Under 3.5 shots (+145 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐

Hit the no-fun siren again because my numbers are showing value in the outlier +145 BetMGM odds for Bedard to register Under 3.5 shots on Thursday.

I actually have the rookie pegged for 4.2 shots and to go Over this number against Colorado, but would price the Under at +113. Additionally, I’m encouraged that bet365 has Bedard’s Under 3.5 shots trading at +120, which is considerably more in line with my projection.

The difference in the numbers is substantial. There’s a positive expected value of 15% when comparing my projection-based odds to the +145 BetMGM price, and an 11% positive expected value when comparing the +145 BetMGM odds to the +120 bet365 price.
