NFL Week 9 Odds & Betting Lines: Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under for All 15 Games
The NFL odds for Week 9 are out, and while we only get a 15-game slate this week, there are plenty of intriguing matchups. Our best NFL betting sites have been busy heading into the week as we turn the page on last week's action.
- The week opened with a battle between the Thursday Night Football odds favorite New York Jets beating the visiting Houston Texans
- Sleep in! Rejoice! No early international games (don't get too used to that, there's one more coming in Week 10 odds)
- The Sunday Night Football odds think we could have a blowout on our hands as the Indianapolis Colts visit the Minnesota Vikings (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC/Peacock)
- The Monday Night Football odds looked more appealing a couple of weeks ago before injuries impacted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers outlook for their tilt with the Super Bowl odds favorite Kansas City Chiefs (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC)
- The Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers are on bye
NFL Week 9 odd and lines
There's an advantage to betting these NFL odds early and trying to beat future line movement in NFL markets. The closer to Sunday you wait to make your NFL picks, the more difficult it becomes to identify edges and secure the best price on a side or total.
That's why it's important to start monitoring the NFL opening odds each week as soon as possible. A proactive approach will aid your long-term success.

Last week we raised questions in the moneyline section of this article, and this week we'll do the same. Heading into Week 8, here are some of the most pressing questions that should get answered and lead to a shift in the Week 9 odds.
- Will the Dolphins be able to compete with the Bills after Tua Tagovailoa returns under center? While Miami looked better with Tua than his replacements, this team didn't look like it was set to compete in the AFC East. Early movement to Miami has shifted back to Buffalo.
- With Deshaun Watson injured, how will the Browns look with a new quarterback? Well, pretty good really. Jameis looked capable to moving the offense, the o-line is getting healthy, and a major upset over the Ravens was the gift to fans. The Browns have shrunk from +150 'dogs to +105, and may close as favorites.
- Will the Rams look revitalized offensively with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back? You better believe it. The Seahawks are home 'dogs on the moneyline.
- How will Tampa Bay overcome the loss of its two best receivers? It looked competitive against Atlanta, but certainly not as bad as it could have been.
