Our New Orleans Saints-Carolina Panthers parlay predictions are based on the best NFL odds, as we look for an unsung hero from each offense to repeat his Week 1 performance with oddsmakers seemingly not adjusting to their respective roles.

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers kick off a Monday night doubleheader with New Orleans angling for some early separation from Carolina in the NFC South standings.

Can Bryce Young outduel Derek Carr to keep his budding NFL career from starting out 0-2?

Here are our best Saints vs. Panthers SGP predictions, which accompanies our Saints vs. Panthers prediction and Saints vs. Panthers player props (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

SGP predictions for Saints vs. Panthers

Rashid Shaheed Over 40.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you project the Monday night matchup between the Saints and Panthers to be a low-scoring affair, that’s fine for Rashid Shaheed. After all, he just racked up a receiving line of 5/89/1 in a Week 1 game that saw just 31 total points.

So why is Shaheed’s receiving total listed at just 40.5 yards at FanDuel for Week 2? My guess is the books simply haven’t caught up yet to what Shaheed’s role is going to be in this offense. Derek Carr is a quarterback who has demonstrated the ability to connect with burners down the field on deep shots. That’s Shaheed’s bread and butter.

Shaheed could clear this line on one deep play. DraftKings’ lines of Over 34.5 yards (-135) and Over 44.5 yards (+125) are also under consideration for this parlay.

Miles Sanders Over 2.5 receptions (+144) ⭐⭐⭐

After Miles Sanders turned four receptions into 26 receiving yards in his first game as a Panther, his yardage prop at FanDuel sits at an attainable 12.5 yards with standard -110 odds on Over. With Sanders operating as the safety valve for a rookie QB, FanDuel offers more value to actually place your bet on the reception volume rather than the yardage.

Sanders’ reception line is set at just 2.5, and at odds of +144, this line offers a much more robust reward than the yardage prop. Sanders hauled in four of six targets last week and should be in line for a similar role in Week 2 in a potentially negative game script.

Our Esten McLaren's also looking at Sanders in his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for MNF.

DraftKings offers three-plus Sanders receptions at +125, so FanDuel’s +144 is the better value.

Saints ML (-166) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The New Orleans Saints are 3-point favorites as they head into Monday night's game against the Carolina Panthers. Covering on the road may prove to be a challenging task for the Saints after their close home victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

But I like the Saints to find a way to win this game outright. Carr has the quarterback edge over the rookie Young, and with Chris Olave leading New Orleans’ supporting cast, the Saints have the advantage offensively. In limiting Titans star Derrick Henry to a mundane outing in Week 1, the Saints demonstrated that their defense can manage the run. Forcing Young to put the team on his shoulders is probably a difficult ask at this early stage of his career.

FanDuel has the Saints ML at -166 odds. While DraftKings lists it at -155, we would have to resort to an alternate receiving line (Over 44.5 instead of 40.5) for Shaheed’s total in order to beat the +557 odds on the overall parlay at FanDuel.
