A double dose of Monday Night Football starts with our New Orleans Saints-Carolina Panthers player props based on the best MNF odds. The Saints enter as consensus 3-point road favorites.

The New Orleans Saints take on the Carolina Panthers in the first of a Monday Night Football twin bill to conclude the NFL's Week 2.

The 2023 first-overall pick, Bryce Young, made his NFL debut last week in a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Meanwhile, the Derek Carr era began in New Orleans. The Saints held on to beat the Tennessee Titans by a score of 16-15. Carr will look to carry that momentum into this prime-time affair.

Saints vs. Panthers player props: Monday Night Football

Bryce Young longest completion Under 31.5 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Young made his NFL debut by throwing for just 146 yards against the Atlanta Falcons. In that game, his longest completion was for 14 yards. In fact, two receivers caught a pass of that distance. The Panthers were content to ease their rookie into the game by calling several screens and short throws.

The Saints did allow Ryan Tannehill to complete a 46-yard pass in their Week 1 matchup. However, the Titans' signal-caller averaged just 12.3 yards per completion overall. New Orleans surrendered just 10.9 yards per completion over the course of the 2022 season.

Hayden Hurst Over Juwan Johnson receiving yards (-125 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A rookie quarterback’s best friend is his tight end. This was on display last week as Hayden Hurst led the Panthers in every receiving category. The well-traveled tight end caught five of seven targets for 41 yards against the Falcons. He outpaced the next-leading pass-catcher, running back Miles Sanders, by a full 15 yards.

As for Juwan Johnson, he caught three of his five targets from his new quarterback for 36 yards. However, 27 of those yards came on a single reception, and Johnson has far more competition for targets than Hurst, which puts him at a disadvantage in this matchup.

Overall career numbers support this prop, as well. Hurst has averaged 24.8 yards per game in his five seasons. Johnson, on the other hand, has an average of 19.5 receiving yards per game in his four seasons.

Eddy Pineiro Under 1.5 extra points made (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Panthers have met the Saints four times since the 2019 season with Eddy Pineiro as their kicker. In that span, he has attempted more than one extra point in only one of those games. Pineiro converted only one or fewer extra point attempts nine times last season.

Last week, Carolina managed just one touchdown against the Falcons, giving Pineiro only a single opportunity to convert an extra point. He will be facing a Saints defense this week that shut Tennessee out of the endzone in Week 1.
