We're seeing a WNBA rivalry brewing between the Indiana Fever (7-10) and Chicago Sky (5-9), who have already faced off twice this season to much fanfare. They'll meet again Sunday at 4 p.m. ET from Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

The Sky are 1-point favorites to beat the Fever in Sunday's matchup, which is televised on ESPN, after losing the first two meetings between these teams. Neither is a contender by the latest WNBA championship odds, though each features a budding rookie star in Caitlin Clark (Fever) and Angel Reese (Sky).

Fever vs. Sky predictions for Sunday

The Fever won each of the first two times these teams played in Indiana - the first a 71-70 loss on June 1, and the second a 91-83 defeat last Sunday. So why would we back the Sky to win the third matchup?

For one, it's tough to beat a team three times in a row in the WNBA. Each of the first two games came down to the wire, even with the Sky shooting 40% in both losses - two of their six worst shooting games of the season, which is odd considering Indiana's issues on the defensive end.

It's also tough to win on the road. The first two games of this season series were played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Fever have won four of eight games and three of their last four overall amid this current four-game win streak.

They've won just three of nine road games, though, and face a Chicago squad that shook off its own losing streak with an 11-point home win on Thursday over the Dallas Wings. I'm expecting the Sky to get back on track in another game that should play into their physical style.

Angel Reese Over 11.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In case you haven't noticed, Reese has gotten off to a historic start to her WNBA career. She's now registered seven consecutive double-doubles entering this weekend - the longest streak by any rookie in league history.

Because of that, she's dealing between -150 and -160 to record another one Sunday. Yet her rebounding total is a modest 11.5 across our best sportsbooks, which she's cleared in three straight and six of her last 10 games. Caitlin Clark Under 2.5 threes ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clark has had a bizarre season to this point, oscillating between 20-plus point outbursts and single-digit efforts. She's scored 18 and 16 points in her last two games, respectively, which are fittingly on either side of her consensus scoring total (17.5) for this matchup.

Instead of guessing which side she'll fall on Sunday, I find myself routinely fading her 3-point totals, which our best sports betting apps continue to offer at plus-money on a consistent basis. That comes even with the star rookie falling short of this mark in nine of her 17 starts (52.9%), including five of eight games this month.

Considering that these odds imply a hit rate of just 41.67%, there's a big gap between her past production and what sportsbooks are expecting on Sunday. At this price, I can't help but fade Clark once again from behind the arc.
