Scoring runs has often felt like a foreign concept recently for these two teams, especially when the Yankees are involved in any game that doesn't feature Judge. Which could be a whole lot of games for a long while.
The Yankees rank 14th in runs during the 2023 season, though that mediocre perch tells only a partial tale. Judge's oversized presence last graced the Yankees' lineup nearly a month ago on June 3. Often we'd want to target the Over in a pitching matchup featuring Matthew Liberatore for St. Louis with his 5.60 ERA, and Luis Severino for the Yankees at 5.25. But it's exceedingly difficult to trust these two offenses to produce, regardless of who's on the mound.
