Dodgers vs. Blue Jays Player Prop Bets: MLB Picks & Best Bets for World Series Game 2 Tonight

Our Dodgers vs. Blue Jays player props for World Series Game 2 target an Over for Yoshinobu Yamamoto and an Under for Daulton Varsho, plus Freddie Freeman to hit a home run.

Los Angeles will try to even the series against Toronto in the Fall Classic, and I’m breaking it down with my Dodgers vs. Blue Jays player prop bets for World Series Game 2.

The Dodgers are a -140 moneyline road favorite in Game 2. First pitch is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday from Rogers Centre in Toronto (FOX). My MLB picks for Game 2 expect Yoshinobu Yamamoto to continue his stellar postseason and to limit Toronto’s left-handed bats, while Freddie Freeman increases his chances for back-to-back World Series MVP awards.

💰 Best player prop bets for Dodgers vs. Blue Jays

Our MLB player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 18.5 outs (+110) ⭐⭐⭐

Yoshinobu Yamamoto led the majors this year with a .183 opponents’ batting average and .539 opponents’ OPS (min. 130 IP). He also ranked in the top nine among qualified pitchers in ERA, xERA, FIP, ground ball rate, and WAR.

Yamamoto has been an innings eater this postseason, recording 20-plus outs in two of his three starts. And there is not as much of a concern with pulling the righty before he faces a batting order for a third time, as he allowed a .189 OBA, .545 OPS, 1.9% home run percentage, and 29.0% strikeout rate in that split.

A $10 bet on Yamamoto’s Over yields a profit of $11 at DraftKings. The +110 odds have an implied probability of 47.62%. Our Shane Jackson is also siding with L.A. with his Dodgers vs. Blue Jays same-game parlay for Game 2.

⬇️ Daulton Varsho Under 0.5 hits (-107) ⭐⭐⭐

Daulton Varsho, one of the stars of Game 1, entered the World Series slashing .273/.304/.500 while hitting safely in four of six postseason games at the Rogers Centre (three of those were multi-hit games). But Yamamoto has been tough on left-handed batters all season, with better slash line numbers allowed in every category compared to righties.

In the first two games of the ALCS, Toronto’s 5-through-9 hitters batted .091 with no extra-base hits, one RBI, and a .258 OPS. I am banking on Yamamoto and the Dodgers bullpen limiting the bottom half of the Blue Jays order just the same.

A $10 wager on Varsho to hit the Under on this player prop would provide a profit of $9.35 at Caesars and has an implied probability of 51.69%.

🚀 Best home run prediction for Dodgers vs. Blue Jays Game 2

💣 Freddie Freeman to hit a home run (+500) ⭐⭐

Freddie Freeman has hit just one home run this postseason, and his .231 average entering the series paled in comparison to his .295 regular season average.

But Freeman tends to rise to the occasion in big spots. He is four RBIs shy of tying Pee Wee Reese for the third-most World Series RBI in franchise history. A home run tonight would help his quest to become the first player ever to win consecutive World Series MVPs.

Freeman is just 1-for-9 in his career against Blue Jays righty Kevin Gausman, but that one hit was a home run.

The best home run odds for Freeman to go yard can be found at FanDuel, whose +500 odds at a 16.67% implied probability would net $50 on a winning $10 wager.
