Trump, figured out like so many of us already knew, that there was a lot of bad information on the major news channels. Although they were/are right about him more than he is willing to admit.
I truly do not understand how 10’s of millions of supposedly intelligent people fails to acknowledge how untruthful Trump is. How these people turn a blind eye to the facts. Then turn around and twist the truth even further.
Maybe the horrible education system in America has finally come to fruition in producing a whole generation of mindless individuals.?.
I concur. That you are correct about the horrible education system in America, and the producing of a whole generation of mindless individuals has come to fruition.
GOP has a majority in more school districts than the left. They elect the most school boards that set school curriculums. This has not always been the case, only the last 30 or 40 years.

I’m glad she’s doing well. I’m glad we have a real fight now for president. But she doesn’t talk to the press. She would never go near me. When you won't go near the people who will vote for you. I'm going to vote for you...
I speak to the exact voter she needs—the person in the middle, the person who is not ideologically captured by either side—basically, the audience she needs. The MSNBC crowd is already voting for her. People who watch me will decide this election, which will probably be decided in four states by something like 80,000 votes.
I’m just saying that is the Democrats, and that has been their flaw. They should start doing it more. Talking to people who are not already on their side. They come across as scared."
My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity to go toe to toe with any opponent in a battle of ideas. They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic. How are people to judge when they don’t know whom they are choosing? And how can this look to the rest of the world?

The hollow promises of a corrupt regime should ALWAYS be questioned no matter what party they claim to represent. We will not even begin to list all the RINO/DIDO scum that went right along with them. I am beginning to wonder if the Democrat party are ALL seeing the promises through the hollow end of a cocaine straw as only a truly wasted drug addict would see the promise of four more years of this regime.Leave a comment:

Go back to pre-Obama era border policy. Some of the only decent things in the "Patriot" Act were the border and port security measures.
I have no idea how many thousands (not millions) we allow yearly, but no more taxpayer funded anything for all illegal or legal immigrants. They can make a living like the rest of us or start a GoFundMe page.
Unfortunately, us taxpayers fund everything, including billions in US interest across the globe. It would help to get more people on the tax roles and wealthy people pay their fair share.Leave a comment:

You bring in 100,000 immigrants legally, it’s inevitable some of them may break laws, do dumb shit like the rest of us.
What is the most effective immigration? How many people do you bring in each year? What countries? What talent, skills? That’s anyone’s guess.

I totally agree…Originally posted by OptionalAlthough I do think the USA has benefitted from mass immigration in years past. If it can't be managed then either can the inevitable problems from too many heading to the same locations.
Govt needs to know numbers to manage services and infrastructure properly.
A system to both assist the people coming over the Southern border and make sure those people also benefit America would be better than just trying to lock them all out though.
An economic zone where cheap manufacturing to rival China can be legally established might be one way.
It’s a difficult, complex problem. Both parties are responsible and neither should weaponize it. They should come up with solutions. Just simply closing our borders totally, is one of the worst ideas. Arresting small children and separating families is another bad idea that costs us much more. This is a humanitarian issue as well. Good people will not stand by and watch young people be neglected, no matter what country they come from. I think we need to invest more in Mexico and South America. Make it so great down there, that more people won’t want to stay here. But maybe it’s all a part of a higher plan. Destroy countries like Haiti, etc., so that we keep getting the cheap labor. We’re not told the real story.Leave a comment:

Immigration is very complex. It is not so cut and dry Trump has tried to make it. Trump is known to be an isolationist. That is not the way to remain the world’s power. We need talent. We need immigrants. We need millions of new workers each year. Where do you think they come from? You have to manage it. Totally shutting off the talent will never work. Even Trump knows that. Here’s a good read on the subject and why criminalizing immigrants is not very effective. It just ends up costing us more money.
Over the last two decades, the federal government increasingly has utilized the criminal courts to punish people for immigration violations. This overview provides basic information about entry-related offenses, including the significant costs incurred by the government conducting these prosecutions, the individuals who are subjected to them, and how the government’s rationale for carrying them out is not supported by the data.Leave a comment:

I guess it comes down to your definition of 'reasonable'. Mine and yours won't be identical. I think we can both agree. Being an immigrant myself, I am not anti immigrant. I am all for legal immigration. If you break the law, aren't you a criminal? Crminal: a person who has committed a crime. If you enter another country illegally, then aren't you already breaking the law and thus a criminal? Of course, there are different levels of crime such. Not wearing your seatbelt and murder. Civil and criminal. Unlawful entry is a felony from what I read.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeI just don’t think the president can do much without support of congress. The people ultimately rule.
