The hollow promises of a corrupt regime should ALWAYS be questioned no matter what party they claim to represent. We will not even begin to list all the RINO/DIDO scum that went right along with them. I am beginning to wonder if the Democrat party are ALL seeing the promises through the hollow end of a cocaine straw as only a truly wasted drug addict would see the promise of four more years of this regime.

I have no idea how many thousands (not millions) we allow yearly, but no more taxpayer funded anything for all illegal or legal immigrants. They can make a living like the rest of us or start a GoFundMe page.
But that I’ll person just became illegal and will need to be heard in court, which costs taxpayers thousands of dollars.

Unfortunately, us taxpayers fund everything, including billions in US interest across the globe. It would help to get more people on the tax roles and wealthy people pay their fair share.

    I totally agree…
It’s a difficult, complex problem. Both parties are responsible and neither should weaponize it. They should come up with solutions. Just simply closing our borders totally, is one of the worst ideas. Arresting small children and separating families is another bad idea that costs us much more. This is a humanitarian issue as well. Good people will not stand by and watch young people be neglected, no matter what country they come from. I think we need to invest more in Mexico and South America. Make it so great down there, that more people won’t want to stay here. But maybe it’s all a part of a higher plan. Destroy countries like Haiti, etc., so that we keep getting the cheap labor. We’re not told the real story.

Immigration is very complex. It is not so cut and dry Trump has tried to make it. Trump is known to be an isolationist. That is not the way to remain the world’s power. We need talent. We need immigrants. We need millions of new workers each year. Where do you think they come from? You have to manage it. Totally shutting off the talent will never work. Even Trump knows that. Here’s a good read on the subject and why criminalizing immigrants is not very effective. It just ends up costing us more money.

Over the last two decades, the federal government increasingly has utilized the criminal courts to punish people for immigration violations. This overview provides basic information about entry-related offenses, including the significant costs incurred by the government conducting these prosecutions, the individuals who are subjected to them, and how the government’s rationale for carrying them out is not supported by the data.

Listen to Neil Diamonds, “Coming to America”. It’s all about giving opportunities to immigrants. I believe and know this country will only continue to be great when we assimilate immigrants into this country.
I guess it comes down to your definition of 'reasonable'. Mine and yours won't be identical. I think we can both agree. Being an immigrant myself, I am not anti immigrant. I am all for legal immigration. If you break the law, aren't you a criminal? Crminal: a person who has committed a crime. If you enter another country illegally, then aren't you already breaking the law and thus a criminal? Of course, there are different levels of crime such. Not wearing your seatbelt and murder. Civil and criminal. Unlawful entry is a felony from what I read.

the US takes in 1.2 million immigrants legally every year. No other country comes close. These people immigrated within the laws of the country made by civil servants elected by THE PEOPLE who live there. Reasonable people have sympathy for the millions of people who have made the journey to the southern border in order to enter another country illegally, they are breaking the law. If is NOT Americas responsibility to take in everyone that wants to come to the US.

The elected civil servant's number one priority should always be its citizens. Their country first above all else.

While I cannot prove it, I suspect a good percentage of those people know they are fake but they just don't care. Political partisanship supersedes truth, so intellectual dishonest wins out. Denial of observable reality wins if the party you support is shown in a bad light.

We all saw VP Biden do a quid pro quo in Ukraine threatening to hold back 1 billion if they don't fire the prosecutor who is looking into the corruption with his crackhead son and the energy company. Right there in the open and laughing and they refuse to believe it exists. Their eyes and ears are not to believed, they are constantly being told and its ok because everyone is doing it. So they just go along. Not everyone of course, but enough to keep the lights on it seems.
