Obviously I know nothing…
I see a 1-7 team off playing SO BAD, that they have gone from a 3.5 point dog, through the key number of 3, now sitting at 2.5 points with, in all likelihood, the entire province of Saskatchewan putting their life savings on this game… It’s the ONLY possible explanation???

This game looks ugly on paper, and a good chance it will be ugly on television. I really would like, as an Eskimo fan, to take the 9 points bestowed upon my team plummeting into the depths of the earth, but to do so, especially when offering a recommendation on this particular game, would be irresponsible to the thread, and those that like to hang out here on game days.
Fact is, I’m not really sure if the Eskimos will SCORE 9 points, let alone cover by nine. Not much about this game is worthy of talking about, because right now these 2 teams are clearly headed in opposite directions. The one thing that really stands out here though is this Total of 48…
Let’s look at it another way… Calgary, last year in 2 of the three games, scored MORE than the total, TWICE… Lets put it another way, if the Eskimos somehow make it to say, kick 2 Field goals, and 2 singles, that’s 8 right there… THEN.. All Calgary has to do is find their way to the Endzone 5 times, and kick a couple of field goals… Maybe even somewhere along the way, QB Burris, trips and stumbles somewhere at the beginning of a drive, drops the ball and some random Eskimo Linebacker returns one to the house (After tripping a few times and stumbling himself) … and wow, one less TD for the Stamps to score to get to 48… All in all, I think there are at least a couple of ways to find that total, far less to cover 9.
7x Edm/Cal Over 48
No Play on the Side, but If I were you giving up those 9 points sure look juicy…Comment -

2010 – Montreal 2-1 (W4@Mon) Mon 37-14, (W11@Ham) Mon 27-6, (W17@Ham) Ham 40-3
Last time around in Week 5, this game was for survival if you were the Tiger Cats, this time, is for 2nd place in the division, and well… survival. Since winning 3 straight, the Cats have found themselves losing 2 of 3, playing Montreal in a home and home. Not saying if they don’t win this game they won’t find their way to 2nd, but ya, I’m sort of implying it. If they don’t win tonight, they probably aren’t winning in Montreal next week and Montreal will be 7-3, Cats 4-6, and pretty much reserved to holding off Toronto for the rest of the year, which likely won’t be a huge problem.
Al’s defense is REALLY banged up, losing 7 starters, which could play nicely into the Hamilton game plan. Montreal has also lost 3 of 5, beating just the punchless Eskimos, and the Eastern Punching bag Argos. I really think they have their work cut out for them in this game, on the road no less in Ivor Wynn (Say it everyone: “Where offences go to die!”)
Typically, the more on the line, the more carefully it plays out. This number is way up in the stars for what I anticipate to be a much more cautious game then the last time they played. A Playoff type game, with huge playoff implications. It would be hard to stretch this game out to a 31-24 game and STILL be under…

#755Originally posted by memo99they get 2 of their receivers back Bowman and Henry also Peach will be back who was a stud before his injury and will help put a lot more pressure on opposing QB's , that will help them keep the score respectable and will give the defense a reason to play hard again but it won't be enough help to give them a win, next week however Stamps will be back, that will balance these 2 teams out as that will also jump start their running game so the tie-breaker game next week will go a long way in determining who gets 1st placeComment -
