I actually use a term "sports arbitrage" more often, but not many people understand what I mean by that. But I see what you mean... I used to do that a lot couple of years back and therefore I know very well how "unsure" these things are... Now I only pick my spots from time to time

Hello to all on this Saturday afternoon. Just a note regarding the CFL match tonight between the visiting Lions and Calgary, I know the Leos have turned it up a couple of notches the past few weeks but does Calgary at -4 not seem a tad low to any of you?

LOTS of steam pushing towards the Riders winning this game by more than a TD, but to be honest, this train wreck that is Toronto, who have beaten the Riders 2 of their last 3, I think will make a game of this one… QB Gyles looked terrible last week, but it was also basically his first game in a season, making him a prime bounceback candidate. Last year Toronto also Upset the Riders in Regina, when no one gave them any hope as well. Now the Riders are winning the Grey cup after beating up Winnipeg twice in a row… Give them all the credit in the world, they weren’t even close, but I think this game is MUCH, MUCH closer than the line is giving credit for in an icky, sticky, ugly looking under.

BC has really messed me up lately as I continue to think they are a bottom dweller, and they continue to perform like they are in first place… Nevertheless I don’t think that A beat up Edmonton team, and 2 bad Argos teams are comparable to a Calgary team at home today and looking to hold 1st place… Last year on top of it all BC beat Calgary, IN Calgary TWICE… I just don’t see this happening tonight, and I can see Calgary really getting angry after Edmonton won their game on the road to keep up …

Phew... now that under was close... And Argos pathetic as usual... glad I stayed away from them despite my initial feeling they might upset the Riders today...

Let's hope for the best from the Stamps tonight, I took their ML big, although I had trouble pulling the trigger. BC has already made me bleed couple of times this season... GL, boys!

More often than not these occurrences result in what they appear to be there for and it looks as though the line on this game was no different. Calgary at home and at -4 was a tad low as I thought and mentioned at the outset and sure enough the Lions are probably going to take this one SU, never mind the 4 points. Ask me if I took advantage of my thought and I'll be quick to reply "nope, I let it get away."

The only real question here, is, is the Peg Done for the year? Maybe early to say it, but after those hard losses last week, do they bounce back or do they hit up a 3 game losing streak? The way my week has gone, I’m not one to pick the sides so well, but for the record, I think Winnipeg plays tough and keeps Calvillo to under 28… If that’s the case, them getting 21 isn’t out of the question…

Haha, too funny Scully. I respect Burris' skills and think CGY is a good team but he goes ballistic when a few plays go awry-then everything really goes out the window. I think Lulay is an underrated QB and BC could be a nice dark horse for the Cup. As for today I think SSK and Durant's stupid long bomb (or nothing) passes have exposed some weaknesses in WIN that will probably not go unnoticed by AC and company. I never thought their secondary was a problem (WIN's) but really that's all SSK seemed to do in their two recent games (in my opinion). Cheers and good luck!
