A California King is 72" wide x 84" long, compared to a regular king which is 76" wide and 80" long.

I'm 6', but I sleep with my arms stretched out, so I prefer it.

How do you have a place big enough in NYC for a King sized bed anyway? You must be rolling hard. penetrating lawyers.

Started with poker? You betting MMA exclusively nowadays or what else?

I just cant see myself betting on basebore or NBA...or even Nascar as Ive seen people do around here. Ill need more action in the coming weeks and I cant trust these tomato cans banging it out like a comedy movie in these trash orgs.

Not like, stretched out all the way. I sleep on my stomach with my arms folded under the pillow, so my elbows are like 6 inches past where my head is.

Played poker professionally since 2002. I bet every sport, MMA is the largest individual chunk, probably around 30%. I don't watch any other sports though.

Isn't sleeping on your stomach considered counter-intuitive for back pain due to the stress it puts on your spine?

Probably for normal back issues. With AS the spine is trying to grow closed, and people who don't treat it end up with a permanent hunch over once the spine has fused. Forcing the spine to stretch the other way is important.

                            Exactly. I've covered this before.

Not watching sports makes it easier to beat them. It's just numbers. When you watch sports you become convinced you know something that everyone else doesn't know.

The oracle told Socrates that he was the wisest man on earth, so Socrates went searching for someone wiser than he was. At the end of his search, he realized he was the wisest. Because he was the only one who know that he knew nothing.

Do you find that a positive mindset helps your pain? I've never been one to preach the benefits of positive thinking, but for me, personally, when I read that positivity and a belief that you are getting better/will get better can aid your pain tremendously, I focused on being as positive about my life as possible and saw noticeable improvements in my outlook, pain, and overall happiness.

I was doing a really heavy lift (deadlift, if memory serves) and I herniated a disc in my spine.

So you're looking at the numbers and have a go? Youre basically having a sheet in front of ya with individual numbers of a team etc. and somehow make up your mind?

Irish born and bred my friend. No idea how much longer I'll be living here though. I'll be in the US for three months next year, depending on how my back holds up.

As Woody Allen says, I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable
