How much pull do you really think SBR has? There's clearly some sizeable chunks of money thrown around from time to time, but unless there's an invisible army of ghost tailers, I suspect we're probably a drop in the bucket in terms of overall betting volume.
ha Guarantee that if I go and put a max bet of $250 or whatever it is on Over 2.5 rouds in that Kedzie fight when it first came out, the line would move to -135 or something. Doesnt need to be thousands of dollars to move a line on sportbet early on.
I'm not sure if its the total funds or if it is also volume in a set time or what but as I stated above I swear a single max bet on a prop moves it sometimes....who knows
Also, it's not about overall betting volume, it's about early betting volume. What moves the line at open and what moves the line 5 minutes before close are two separate things. I can put $100 on a prop at open and watch it drop 40 cents. Whereas I might max a line 20 times right before close and watch it continue to move the other direction.
oh Nunya's already pointed out what I just said above!

Also, I'm not counting how many times the line didn't move from memory. I've been recording it.

Maybe they can absorb the talents and get Johnny Fat Face in there too. Then it'll be 4-1 when they roll up on my man Oddessa.
I tried to nominate this as well but cant nominate 2 posts in such a short time! Too much win from Nunya!

Nick is obviously a solid capper, he's getting better and better and setting the lines, and more importantly predicting closers. More and more you see him open a line, the early sharps bet it off, but then it closes back where he set it.
I've never seen a Luca pick in my life. But I tend to believe that Furry Lucy could possibly pick better. Maybe if someone posts Luca's picks for this card, I'll video Lucy making her picks and we can see who does better.

ha Gaberz loves to do that, like calling me "rich white kid" because I travel to places.... nothing to do with the fact that I have a thing called a "job" that pays me money and thus allows to me to do things like travel!

Most important thing for back pain is exercise. The more it hurts, the more you work it. Switch to sitting on a ball an hour a day too, that'll force you to sit proper and keep your spine in alignment.
I agree. I have several herniated disks. I believe this is the only "cure"

I figure those days are coming, so I'll delay them as long as possible. I try to spend as much time on my treadmill as possible, easy when I'm playing poker, not as easy to work on sportsbetting.

I thought I told you in a PM before. I lost a huge % of my liferoll on black friday, the day after sending out a substantial tax bill. I wasn't zeroed out broke, but most of the poker market left the US, and it was going to be next to impossible to make a living at poker anymore. That's when I switched from sportsbetting as additional income, to almost all of my income.

The reason that "everybody" can't do what he's done is because not everybody is willing to put in that kind of work, with that kind of risk, or take the opportunities he took. He found a field made of shit that has $100 bills buried every few feet. How many people were itching to dive in?
What's interesting is, I hear from republicans all the time about how upwardly mobile our society is and try to use me as an example, which I think is BS. It took me from 4 years of playing poker to build my bankroll from $50 to $5,000. If I had come from a wealthy family, or had the means to start out with a higher amount, the climb would've been much easier from there.
Which is why I tell everyone to work two jobs until you get that $5k roll, it's very difficult to build your roll slowly, but once you get to a workable number, opportunities abound.

To beat the easiest 50% of sports you need 8th grade math. To beat MMA you might not even need that.

Move to Ireland brah. Unlimited poker, no tax on gambling winnings, and our social welfare system is exactly as messed up as everyone makes it out to be. Free healthcare for most people, and a friend of mine who makes $70K a year gambling also gets unemployment benefit, which is approximately $250 a week.

ha yeah, I wondered how many of "professional" or "Full-time" gamblers over here are doing that! I cant imagine they do stringent checks to make sure you aren't making money from gambling.

Wife and I have been looking actively for a new country to live in. The problem with most of Europe is it is very difficult to get citizenship if you are not employed in a sector they're looking for. We were looking very seriously at Malta until they closed their program to new applicants due to some Londoner scamming their health care system.

Pretty much. I try not to abuse the system too much for my own sense of morality, but if I wanted to, I could be bringing in an extra few grand a year, as I am technically entitled to disability until my back is healed up.

Ireland isn't a bad choice as long as you pick your area well. The cost of living is a bit high, but the weather is very temperate, which is a plus in my book; we rarely get very hot or very cold days, although we're in the middle of a heat wave right now. On top of that, in the nicer areas, the people are about as nice as people get.
Singapore is nicer than you'd imagine, too. Plus, the Isle of Man.
