Caesars Sportsbook 🏛️

Caesars Sportsbook is another excellent choice for your World Cup betting needs. You'll find all the usual markets, including some competitive odds in the "To Qualify From Group" section. Unfortunately, they haven't posted a Golden Boot market and are missing some of the more creative prop bet markets so far. Hopefully, Caesars will add these as the tournament gets closer.

Regardless, Caesars is a reliable sportsbook with legitimate Vegas roots. It's available in almost two dozen states, meaning most bettors in legal sports betting locations can use it. Brand new bettors can claim a bonus bet match up to $250 as a sign-up offer.

DraftKings 👑

DraftKings has more World Cup betting markets than any other major sportsbook so far. Along with all the standard bets, DK also has dozens of Match Props, Goal Spreads, and unique pre-built parlays like "USA to qualify from Group & Mexico & Canada not to qualify from Group." (Currently at +2000).

Along with an absolute wealth of various World Cup betting markets, DraftKings remains a top-tier online sportsbook anywhere it's legally available. It's generally considered to run neck-and-neck with FanDuel, sparking the enduring FanDuel vs. DraftKings debate. In our opinion, they are so close that you should use whichever book has the best odds for the picks you want.

USA Tournament Information

Group D: USA, Paraguay, Australia, UEFA Playoff Winner D
⚽ Opening Game: June 12 vs. Paraguay (Los Angeles)
Other Group Stage Games: June 19 vs. Australia (Seattle) and June 25 vs. UEFA Playoff D Winner (Los Angeles)

Players to Watch

Defender - Sergino Dest (PSV, Eredivisie) - It feels like Dest has been a part of the U.S. roster forever now, despite being only 25-years-old. However, Dest is always a bit of a mystery. He was a highly regarded prospect at Ajax, but never quite found his footing after a high-profile move to Barcelona. He now plays in the Netherlands and remains a top choice for fullback on Team USA. However, Dest's inconsistent performances for the national team (plus a foolish red card in 2023) leave unanswered questions.

Midfielder - Christian Pulisic (AC Milan, Serie A): Pulisic was once considered the best player on the Team USA roster. Some injury concerns and a transfer from England to Italy leave the 27-year-old with a lot to prove for the stars and stripes. The bottom line, though, is that Pulisic can put the ball in the net, despite not being a prototypical No. 9 striker. He has 31 goals in 84 appearances for AC Milan and 32 goals in 82 caps for the U.S.A.

Striker - Folarin Balogun (AS Monaco, Ligue 1): After some impressive showings in recent international windows, the 24-year-old Balogun seems in the pole position to lead Team USA's attack this summer. He is increasing his importance at AS Monaco, picking up more minutes as the domestic season rolls on, and has scored 8 goals in 21 appearances so far. The former England U21 prospect already has eight goals in his senior international career, in just 23 caps. The 2026 World Cup could just be the moment he announces his arrival in a big way, on the biggest stage of them all.

Canada World Cup betting 2026 🍁

Canada Tournament Information

⚽ Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Qatar, UEFA Playoff Winner B
⚽ Opening Game: June 12 vs. UEFA Playoff Winner B (Toronto)
⚽ Other Group Stage Games: June 18 vs. Qatar (Vancouver) and June 24 vs. Switzerland (Vancouver)

Players to Watch

Attacker - Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich, Bundesliga): Davies is unquestionably the best player in the Canada squad. However, he's been hampered by some serious injuries over the past few seasons, including an ACL tear in early 2025. He returned to the field for Bayern Munich in December, giving him six months to prepare for the World Cup. The most interesting question will be how Canada manager Jesse Marsch chooses to deploy Davies. The 25-year-old typically plays a defensive wing role for his club side, but has been previously used more in attack for Canada.

Attacker - Jonathan David (Juventus, Serie A): David, 26, makes the case for being the best striker in CONCACAF. After lighting up the French Ligue 1 for 87 goals in 178 appearances for Lille, David signed with the iconic Italian club Juventus. Fresh off a new club (and a nice pay raise), David is eager to show himself on the world stage. He's already Canada's top scorer ever, with 37 international goals to his name. Canada had major issues scoring in the last World Cup. The onus is largely on David to change that, this time around.

Defender - Moise Bombito (Nice, Ligue 1): Bombito rose to prominence playing for the Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer. His composure on the ball and incredible pace turned heads, leading to a call-up for Canada in 2023 when he was still just 22 years old. Bombito played every minute of the 2024 Copa America, helping Canada reach the semi-finals (where they lost on penalties to eventual champions Argentina). He suffered a broken leg in late 2025, but Canadian fans will be hoping he's back in form in time for the World Cup.

Betting on World Cup teams

Here's a look at the most notable teams playing in the 2026 World Cup, including multiple international soccer superpowers and tournament favorites:

Brazil

🏆 Best Finish: Won (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002)
2022 World Cup Result:
Lost in quarterfinals
🗒️ All-Time Record:
76-19-19

Brazil may not be the absolute powerhouse of the 90s and 00s, but opponents would be foolish to underestimate the five-time winners. With superstar attackers like Vinicius Junior, Richarlison, and Rodrygo on the roster, there should be no shortage of firepower.

Brazil finds itself in a potentially easier group, with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland standing in the way in Group C. Most sportsbooks have them as overwhelming favorites to win the group, let alone advance to the knockout rounds.

France

🏆 Best Finish: Won (1998, 2018)
2022 World Cup Result:
Runners Up
🗒️ All-Time Record: 39-14-20

The 2018 champions and 2022 finalists need to be in the conversation once again, especially given their duo of incredible attackers, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele. Not to mention multiple squad members who play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe: Camavinga (Real Madrid), Kone (Roma), Tchoiameni (Real Madrid), Ekitike (Liverpool), and Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan), to name but a few.

France is in Group I, alongside Senegal, Norway, and the winner of UEFA Playoff Winner I. While no game in a World Cup is ever easy, Les Blues should have little trouble advancing out of the group and getting themselves deep into the knockout stages.

Argentina

🏆 Best Finish: Won (1978, 1986, 2022)
2022 World Cup Result:
Champions
🗒️ All-Time Record:
47-17-24

Most of us thought Argentina's 2022 World Cup championship was a fitting swan song for Lionel Messi, one of the greatest players in the history of the game. Instead, Messi moved to Inter Miami in MLS and somehow continued to play like he's not almost 40-years-old.

Will Messi return for the 2026 World Cup? Neither manager Lionel Scaloni nor Messi himself has ruled it out. Our money is on Messi being back in the squad this summer.

Argentina will have Group J games against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan. With all due respect to those three nations, Argentina should not be overly bothered advancing out of the group — a fact backed up by extremely favorable odds from every major sportsbook.

England

🏆 Best Finish: Won (1966)
2022 World Cup Result:
Lost in quarter-finals
🗒️ All-Time Record:
32-22-20

England is among the betting favorites to win the 2026 World Cup, often sitting at the second- or third-shortest odds, depending on which sportsbook you check. England have made the Finals in two of the last three major international tournaments, including Euro 2020 and Euro 2024. They were eliminated in the quarters in the last World Cup by France, who progressed all the way to the Final.

England has a wealth of riches at most positions, including proven striker Harry Kane, youthful attacker Bukayo Saka, and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham. The real question, which has plagued English soccer fans since 1966, is whether the team can take all that individual talent and turn it into World Cup championship glory.

England has a tougher group than other favorites, with Croatia, Ghana, and Panama to contend with. Still, it would be a monumental disaster if they didn't advance into the knockout rounds. England has come close in recent years, but never quite got across the finish line. Will 2026 finally be the year that football comes home?

Spain

🏆 Best Finish: Won (2010)
⚽ 2022 World Cup Result: Lost in Round of 16
🗒️ All-Time Record:
31-17-19

Spain is the betting favorite at most sportsbooks, and with good reason. They won Euro 2024 and will return most of the same roster for the 2026 World Cup, including stars like Rodri, Pedri, and the still-just-18-years-old Barcelona phenom Lamine Yamal. Goalkeeper David Raya is one of the best in the world, with his skills constantly on display as Arsenal's starter, who are hunting an EPL title.

Spain will face Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay in the group stage. Realistically, only Uruguay is likely to make this Spanish side even break a sweat. Expect another deep run from Spain, which will have legitimate plans to add another star to its crest.

Portugal

🏆 Best Finish: Third Place (1966)
⚽ 2022 World Cup Result: Lost in quarter-finals
🗒️ All-Time Record:
17-6-12

Portugal remains a contender, even as superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's career slowly fades. We mean no disrespect to one of the game's greatest players, but Ronaldo will be 41 when the World Cup starts this summer. There's no guarantee he will factor into Portugal's plans, which has been a hotly contested debate for fans in recent years.

But, with or without Ronaldo, Portugal has a lot to prove. They have never won a World Cup, but did take home Euro 2018 as their first major international trophy. They have stars like Bruno Fernandes, Bernado Silva, and Pedro Neto leading the attack and veterans like Joao Concelo and Ruben Dias anchoring the defense.

Portugal is favored to win Group K, which also includes Uzbekistan, Colombia, and the winner of the Intercontinental Playoff (DR Congo, Jamaica, or New Caledonia). Qualifying out of the group should be easy enough, although they are favored to top the table.

Other types of World Cup bets

Betting on a single team to win the World Cup is far from the only type of action you can get. The best sportsbooks will have moneyline, totals, and a variety of prop bet markets for every single game.

Here are some other World Cup bet types you'll find:

  • Top scorer per team
  • To qualify from group
  • Stage of elimination
  • Will there be a first-time winner - Yes/No?

World Cup Golden Boot odds

The Golden Boot is awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the tournament. The more games you play, the more chances to score, which means attacking players from England, Spain, France, and Argentina are all among the favorites.

French striker Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot in 2022, tallying eight goals, and is the current favorite to repeat the feat in 2026.

Golden Boot Odds Odds via DraftKings
Kylian Mbappe (France) +600
Harry Kane (England) +700
Lionel Messi (Argentina) +1200
Erling Haaland (Norway) +1400
Lamine Yamal (Spain) +1800

World Cup qualifying betting

There are still six spots in the 2026 FIFA World Cup up for grabs. They will belong to the eventual winners of six mini-playoffs: four from Europe (UEFA) and two from the Intercontinental Playoffs. These matches will take place in late March, solidifying the final 48 teams who will play in the tournament this summer.

UEFA Path A

Teams: Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Northern Ireland.

The heavy favorite to emerge from this playoff is Italy, which has won the World Cup four times. However, the Azzurri struggled mightily in qualifying and are in danger of missing a World Cup for the third straight time.

Italy will play Northern Ireland, who are ranked 69th in the world. On the other side of the bracket are Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina, ranked 32nd and 71st, respectively.

The eventual winner will be placed in Group B with Canada, Qatar, and Switzerland.

Team Odds to Advance to World Cup
Italy -175
Wales +300
Bosnia & Herzegovina +600
Northern Ireland +1600

UEFA Path B

Teams: Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, Albania

There is no clear favorite in this playoff. Poland, Sweden, and Ukraine are all solid European sides that believe they can make it through. The dark horse here is Albania, ranked 63rd in the world, which has never qualified for a World Cup in its history.

Poland and Albania will play on one side of the bracket, while Ukraine and Sweden face off in the other. The eventual playoff winner will end up in Group F with Japan, Tunisia, and the Netherlands.

Team Odds to Advance to World Cup
Poland +165
Ukraine +220
Sweden +300
Albania +600

UEFA Path C

Teams: Slovakia, Kosovo, Turkey, Romania

Turkey and Slovakia are the biggest favorites in this group, and have been placed on opposite sides of the bracket. Turkey has the highest FIFA ranking, at 25th, but Slovakia (45th) and Romania (47th) aren't that far behind.

Whoever emerges will be placed in Group D with the United States, Paraguay, and Australia.

Team Odds to Advance to World Cup
Turkey -105
Slovakia +220
Kosovo +600
Romania +800

UEFA Path D

Teams: Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, Denmark, North Macedonia

Denmark is the clear favorite here, and for good reason. They are ranked 21st in the world, and it was frankly a bit of a shock that they didn't qualify in the group stage. However, two shocking results against Scotland (a 0-0 draw in Copenhagen and a 4-2 defeat in Glasgow) saw the Scots top the group.

Denmark now faces North Macedonia (66th), while the Czech Republic (44th) and the Republic of Ireland (59th) play on the other side of the bracket. The winner will be slotted into Group A with Mexico, South Africa, and South Korea.

Team Odds to Advance to World Cup
Denmark -120
Czech Republic +225
Rep. of Ireland +550
North Macedonia +1400

Inter Confederation Path 1

Teams: New Caledonia, Jamaica, DR Congo

Jamaica has struggled to reach the World Cup, last qualifying in 1998. The Reggae Boyz are ranked 70th in the world and will be hoping for a relatively easy win over New Caledonia (150th) to set up a winner-take-all against DR Congo (56th).

The winner of this Inter Confederation Playoff earns a spot in Group K, which could be one of the tougher groups. Portugal, Colombia, and Uzbekistan await.

Not many sportsbooks are listing odds for the Inter Confederation Playoff matches yet. However, to give you some perspective on the favorites, DR Congo is currently listed at -125 to advance from Group K (which they aren't even officially in yet), while Jamaica (+300) and New Caledonia (+3500) are considerable underdogs.

Inter Confederation Path 2

Teams: Bolivia, Suriname, Iraq

While reaching the World Cup will be a triumph for any of these teams, the celebrations will probably be short-lived. Whoever takes this final qualification spot will end up in Group I with France (2022 World Cup runner-up and among the betting favorites), Norway (ranked 29th in the world), and Senegal (19th in the world and fresh off a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations championship).

That's a tall order for any team.

Iraq is the most likely team to qualify, according to the odds. They are ranked 58th in the world and slotted at +350 to advance from the group (should they get past Bolivia and Suriname). Speaking of, Bolivia (76th) and Suriname (123rd) will play first, with the winner facing Iraq.

How to choose a betting site for the World Cup

Whether you're an experienced bettor or taking part in World Cup wagering for the first time, you need to know exactly what to look for when choosing the right sports betting site for your needs. Here are a few things to prioritize in your search:

Reputation and trust

Simply put, you need to know that you're investing your bankroll in a trustworthy sports betting site. Thankfully for bettors, all of the sites on our list of the top World Cup sportsbooks can be trusted to not only provide a worthwhile experience, but also the top-level security they crave.

There's also the question of reputation – and our top list includes sports betting sites that are widely considered the best in the industry. You can be sure that any sportsbook listed above is highly regarded by both casual sports bettors and more experienced wagerers.

Withdrawal and deposit options

It isn't enough for sports bettors to feel comfortable putting their money into a sportsbook account – they need to know that both the deposit and withdrawal process will be smooth and expedient. We can vouch that the sportsbooks on this list are among the best in this regard.

The top sports betting sites offer a trove of deposit options, so you don't have to worry about being limited in how to fund your account. And while the number of withdrawal options usually doesn't match, the majority of sportsbooks have payout speeds between 24-48 hours.

World Cup betting options and odds

Choosing the right sports betting site goes much deeper than having trust that your money is safe. You need to have actual markets on which to wager – and it helps significantly if you're getting the maximum return on those World Cup bets.

Our list of the top World Cup sports betting sites include sportsbooks that offer a wide range of betting opportunities, including pre-game markets, in-game plays, futures bets, half-specific options and a whole lot more. And while the odds might vary slightly from one sports betting site to the next, all the sites we list have reasonable quality of odds relative to the overall market.

Customer service

Good customer service is always in style, no matter what slice of life you're referencing. People speak glowingly of their positive customer service experiences – and it's particularly important to have a strong CS department in an industry as competitive as sports betting.

We only recommend sportsbooks that have strong customer service – and that goes beyond offering a wide variety of ways for customers to have their questions answered. Positive interactions mean a lot – and we have reached out to every top sportsbook in search of good customer service experiences. These sports betting sites check out.

Intuitive interface and mobile app

When it comes to rating the top World Cup betting sites, the quality of the mobile wagering experience is paramount. We strongly endorse the mobile apps for the top sportsbooks on this list; they all combine easy-to-use interfaces with aesthetically pleasing app designs.

World Cup betting sites FAQs

What makes betting on the World Cup unique?

The World Cup is a truly one-of-a-kind sports betting experience for several reasons.

For starters, the fact that it happens once every four years makes it feel special; you know that you're taking part in a betting market that is among the rarest of any wagering opportunity in sports.

There's also the global attention paid to the tournament, which should mean big things for bettors and sports betting sites alike. This is one of the few times in the sports calendar when virtually every major sportsbook in the world will look to maximize betting markets for the same event. There is no other sport on the planet that generates that level of interest from the sports betting world.

Finally, there's a tremendous sense of regionalism that takes hold when the World Cup kicks off – and that should lend itself to some great boost opportunities. Sports betting sites would be wise to offer as many regional promos as possible to take advantage of what should be a heightened sense of patriotism among casual and experienced sports bettors alike.
