It's the final day of the group stage, and I'm making my best World Cup predictions for Saturday. Six games are being played, and while the attention will likely be on Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, and Cristiano Ronaldo, I'm focusing on the other three contests.

Below, I explain why you should expect a low-scoring affair when Congo faces Uzbekistan and why Marco Pasalic is finally going to get on the board against Ghana. Additionally, I highlight why the circumstances surrounding Algeria vs. Austria make the game less exciting than it seems on paper.

💰 Best World Cup prediction today

Congo vs. Uzbekistan: Both teams to score - No (-125)

The Uzbekistan defense has allowed eight goals at this World Cup, but nothing from the Congo attack suggests that it will score in this game. Yes, Congo scored against Portugal, but the offense had just one shot on goal against Colombia.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan has just four shots on goal at this tournament. Despite scoring against Colombia, Uzbekistan hasn't created a single big chance and had just 0.24 expected goals against Portugal. Plus, Congo's defense has been excellent, holding Colombia and Portugal to just one goal each.

Congo vs. Uzbekistan odds: Congo (-145) Draw (+310) Uzbekistan (+400)

💵 SBR Edge: Who will possess the ball?

Neither team wants to play with the ball, as both teams have held possession for 36% or less in this tournament. With neither team comfortable in this match and the defenses already significantly better than the offenses, this is a three-unit play.

Algeria vs. Austria: Under 1.5 goals (+120)

Second place in Group J is on the line, and because of when this game is being played, both teams will know exactly what they need to do to advance to the Round of 32. We already know a draw guarantees that both teams move on.

The storyline is that both teams would prefer to advance in third place, as that would mean avoiding Spain in the Round of 32. While this is true, I wouldn't even like these offenses under normal circumstances.

Austria scored three times against Jordan, but one score was an own goal, and the other was off a penalty 12 minutes into stoppage time. Austria still has two or fewer goals in four of its last five competitive matches, while Algeria has been shut out twice in its last three competitive games.

Algeria vs. Austria odds: Algeria (+310) Draw (+120) Austria (+195)

Marco Pasalic anytime goalscorer (+330) vs. Ghana

Pasalic only has one goal in 17 matches with Croatia, but he's played fairly well at this World Cup. Against England, he subbed in, and he managed to get a shot on target. But it was against Panama, a game in which he started, that he had his best opportunity.

Though Pasalic had just one shot on goal in that match, he ended with 0.74 expected goals. He also recorded 44 touches.

Ghana's defense is yet to concede a goal. That said, Croatia has scored in eight of its last nine competitive games. At this World Cup, two of Croatia's three goals have been from players with two or fewer national team goals. I'll back this trend to continue by supporting a player who has had quality chances recently.

Croatia vs. Ghana odds: Croatia (-115) Draw (+220) Ghana (+425)
