Jordan vs. Argentina Prediction: Best World Cup Picks at Kalshi (June 27)

Argentina has already wrapped up Group J, but will look to stay perfect in group play against Jordan.

Argentina has already clinched Group J, and Jordan has been eliminated. My best Jordan vs. Argentina prediction for Saturday's 10 p.m. ET game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, focuses on the unique nature of this contest, which features both teams playing for nothing.

85% of Kalshi traders expect Argentina to win, but in my World Cup predictions below, I explain why I don't expect the Argentines to play to their full potential in this match. The game will air on FOX and Telemundo and stream on FOX One.

Argentina has nothing to play for, which is the only reason I don't expect this game to be overly lopsided. Still, Argentina is yet to concede a goal at this World Cup, and Algeria and Austria are significantly more dangerous offensively than Jordan is.

I believe that the defending champions will be more than happy to play possession in this match, take opportunities as they arise, but ultimately stay under control as they look ahead to the knockout round. This isn't the Argentina we should expect to see in the Round of 32.

Score prediction: Argentina 2, Jordan 0

💵 My best pick: No - Over 2.5 goals (40 cents)

Dating back to the start of World Cup qualifying, Argentina has allowed just eight goals in its last 14 competitive matches. Eight of those matches ended as clean sheets. This is a defense that hasn't allowed a goal in five consecutive matches overall, while Jordan's last competitive game before the World Cup was a 1-0 loss to Iraq.

This will come down to how aggressive Argentina remains. But I don't expect the defending champions to go for style points, with their focus solely on repeating.

🦶 Who will score in Jordan vs. Argentina?

Follow all of our expert soccer analysis for World Cup 2026.

Julian Alvarez, F, Argentina (51%)

Lionel Messi has scored all five goals for Argentina, but with the group wrapped up, Messi will likely either sit or play very limited minutes. Therefore, I'm looking elsewhere.

Alvarez has scored just three goals in 11 matches over the last two years with Argentina, playing most of his games as a substitute. In this World Cup, he's been a sub in both matches, and he showed his talent with 0.40 expected goals against Austria. When he's officially announced as a starter, don't be surprised to see this percentage climb above 55%.

Best Jordan vs. Argentina goal-scorer pick: Julian Alvarez (51%)

🥅 Will both teams score in Jordan vs. Argentina?

Jordan has scored in each of its World Cup matches, but the Argentinian defense has been outstanding thus far. Not only has the Argentina defense not allowed a goal, but it has also allowed just one shot on target through two matches. Even with Argentina having nothing to play for, scoring is too big an ask for Jordan.

Both teams to score (BTTS) pick: No (64 cents)
