Atalanta's clash with Sampdoria is among the highlights on the European soccer schedule this week. Let's dive in with our soccer best bets from Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, and other top leagues based on the best odds.

Atletico Madrid only sit fourth in the Spanish league, 10 points behind second-placed Real. But that won’t matter when the two archrivals meet in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. With Barcelona already through to the semis, the winner of the Madrid derby will become the second major favorite to lift the Spanish Cup trophy.

Looking elsewhere in Europe, Napoli vs. AS Roma will get pulses racing in Serie A, while Bayern vs. Frankfurt and Dortmund vs. Leverkusen will receive the most attention in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Here are our best bets ahead of the European soccer weekend (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top soccer picks

Total: Atalanta-Sampdoria Over 3.5 (+186) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There's been three-plus goals scored in each of Atalanta’s seven Serie A games, and La Dea is as hungry as ever. Atalanta currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, and they're pushing for a top-four place that would guarantee them Champions League access next season.

Sampdoria’s story this season is rather different. They're second from the bottom after 19 matches, with just nine points to their name. They haven’t scored in their last three games, which all ended in defeat.

Atalanta will surely want to exploit those circumstances and show their attacking force. When Salernitana came visiting two weeks ago, they left Bergamo following an 8-2 defeat that made the headlines nationwide. If Atalanta is in a good mood to attack, Sampdoria should really be scared of the outcome.

Spread: Freiburg -1 (+135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Freiburg couldn’t find their form of 2022 when they faced Wolfsburg (0-6) and Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1) this month. But it’s high time for them to show that their push for Champions League football is legitimate.

Augsburg could pay the price. Freiburg sit at +135 to notch a two-plus goal win, a very good return considering the gap between the two sides.

Upset: Salernitana to win (+330) ⭐⭐⭐

Yes, Salernitana has been terrible against Atalanta, and they couldn’t hold back Serie A leaders Napoli last weekend in a 2-0 home defeat. But they've also been producing magic.

Their situation at this point of the season in 2021-22 was desperate. But they still survived in one of the greatest escapes in Italian football’s recent history. Now, Salernitana sit 16th in the table on 18 points, just two behind Lecce. Form might not favor them, but we’re talking about the team that beat Lazio 3-1 at the Olimpico and held Juventus to a 2-2 draw in Turin.

Parlay:  RB Leipzig vs. Stuttgart Over 3.5 and Leipzig to win (+220) ⭐⭐⭐

Leipzig have won their previous four home matches against Stuttgart without conceding, so they're coming into this game with a strong psychological advantage. RB are on a great run in the Bundesliga while sitting third in the table, just four points behind Bayern Munich.

It’s hard to imagine them missing the chance to add three comfortable points to their tally. Leipzig are fresh off beating Schalke 6-1 away and will look to entertain and win vs. Stuttgart to consolidate their strong challenge to Bayern’s supremacy.
