⚽ Who will win Ghana vs. Panama?
I'm backing this one to end in a draw.
I expect a cagey, tight match from two teams that understand they can't drop three points if they want a shot at third place in the group. Panama will play a 5-4-1 when not in possession, a setup that can nullify Ghana's edge with players like Semenyo and Ayew. Once Ghana commits numbers forward, Panama can break on the counterattack. Panama also showed quite a bit of pressing during qualification, so I'm not so convinced they'll spend much time sitting back.
Score prediction: Ghana 1, Panama 1
💵 My best bet: Over 3.5 cards (+130)
This game is set up so that neither side can drop points, and that's the kind of fact that, in and of itself, can lead to tactical pulling and late challenges. Both sides play a physical game, and with Ghana bringing more speed on the wings than Panama does on the back line, there could be tactical fouls as the team looks to regain its 5-4-1 defensive shape.
Tonight's referee, Glenn Nyberg, averaged four cards across four WCQ games, so he's not afraid to get the book out.

Antoine Semenyo, F, Ghana
It's the "easy out" when choosing who will score. I wish my editors would let me choose who will score or assist, because Ayew (+150) is a fantastic price. But we'll look to Semenyo, the clear best player on the pitch tonight.
With Ghana missing Thomas Partey in the midfield, it will have to rely more on individual efforts to get the job done. And Semenyo is the man with the skill to get that done.
Best Ghana vs. Panama goal-scorer pick: Antoine Semenyo anytime goalscorer (+200 via bet365)

🥅 Will both teams score in Ghana vs. Panama?
Offense will not be coming in bunches tonight, but I think both teams possess enough quality to find their way to the scoreboard. I'm backing a 1-1 draw here, and that's both teams scoring.
