McDavid Set to Dominate Penguins as Part of Jan. 22 NHL Player Props & Best Bets

Connor McDavid has 27 multi-point games this season, and I expect him to add to that astounding total in my NHL player props and best bets today. 

The Oilers captain is as familiar with multi-point outings as Edmonton is with snow. It helps that McDavid usually dominates the Penguins. I'm also featuring Cole Caufield, Alex DeBrincat, and Tim Stutzle as part of my NHL best bets.

McDavid McDominates Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins almost every time he faces them. And it won't matter that his sidekick, Leon Draisaitl, won't be featuring.

McDavid has a ridiculous 16 points in the previous six head-to-head matchups against the Pens.

So, yes, I'm willing to take a reduction in profits for the increased probability of cashing. I'm also thoroughly enjoying the fact that Pittsburgh had to play in Calgary on Wednesday, with heavy legs in the forecast for Dan Muse's flightless birds.

Cole Caufield to extend his goal-scoring streak (+150) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Goal Caufield has found his range, with Cole scoring in three straight games entering tonight's tilt against Buffalo. He has four goals in his current goal-scoring streak. Combine that with the fact that he scored in three of the previous four meetings against the Sabres, and you have yourself a 4-star pick. 

The Habs scored at least four goals in six of the previous home games, adding to the bet's appeal. I'm locking it in. Are you? 

Alex DeBrincat, Red Wings, Anytime goal (+175) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Red Wings scored at least four goals in six of the previous eight games, and Alex DeBrincat, who leads the team with 26, has netted four in the last six contests. 

He's also used to scoring against the Minnesota Wild recently, lighting the lamp twice in the previous three head-to-heads. While the Red Wings played on Wednesday, the Wild are sliding, having lost six of the previous nine games and allowing at least four goals seven times. 

Tim Stutzle to notch an assist & continue feasting on Preds (+105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stutzle hasn't let outside noise negatively affect his play, as he assisted in three of the previous five games. He's also enjoyed success against the Nashville Predators, notching at least one helper in four of the last five head-to-heads. 

The Senators have been one of the most prolific offenses in the last 10 days, scoring 20 goals in a four-game stretch. If they score four goals, odds are Stutzle will have at least one assist.

By the way, the Predators' defense has been more porous than an uncovered manhole lately, creating a perfect storm for the German.
