While the Super Bowl odds didn't shift much, many teams walked away from the NFL draft with an abundance of talented prospects, some of whom are expected to make a splash in their rookie seasons.

I'm looking at five contenders who will be on the rise after the NFL draft. Each one selected top-tier first-rounders while adding reinforcements and plugging holes following free agency.

🥂 Super Bowl odds: 5 contenders on the rise

Follow along with our NFL picks throughout the regular season and playoffs.

🐏 Bills (+1000)

The Bills managed to find an excellent edge rusher despite trading down three times and falling out of the first round. They picked Clemson's T.J. Parker at No. 35. While his production dropped in 2025, he posted 11 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 6 forced fumbles in 2024.

Despite having the third-shortest Super Bowl odds, they desperately needed a cornerback. They got their man in Ohio State's Davison Igbinosun at No. 62. He has good size and long arms and is able to stay tight on most vertical routes. However, his slightly cumbersome footwork led to too many penalties.

Still, he has a high ceiling.

The Bills' priority was to improve defensively, which they achieved by selecting six players who line up on the defensive side of the ball, including their first two picks.

Draft Rating: A

Round  Pick  Player/Position  College
2 35 T.J. Parker, Edge Clemson
2 62 Davison Igbinosun, CB Ohio State
4 102 Jude Bowry, OT Boston College
4 125 Skyler Bell, WR UConn
4 126 Kaleb Elarms-Orr, LB TCU
5 167 Jalon Kilgore, DB South Carolina
5 181 Zane Durant, DT Penn State
7 220 Toriano Pride Jr., CB Missouri
7 239 Tommy Doman Jr., P Florida
7 241 Ar'maj Reed-Adams, OG Texas A&M

🐦‍⬛ Ravens (+1100)

Thanks to landing edge rusher Trey Hendrickson while also retaining their two first-round picks, the Ravens enjoyed a bountiful draft (11 picks) while filling many gaps.

Drafting Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane at No. 14 will immediately improve Lamar Jackson's protection. He's big, fast, and nimble, making him the perfect blend for someone they hope quickly turns into an elite guard. They added pass rusher Zion Young, who has a ton of upside and a high ceiling.

They also further improved the offense, providing Jackson with a pair of promising wide receivers (USC’s Ja’Kobi Lane and Indiana’s Elijah Sarratt).

Draft Rating: A-

Round  Pick  Player/Position  College
1 14 Olaivavega Ioane, OG Penn State
2 45 Zion Young, Edge Missouri
3 80 Ja'Kobi Lane, WR USC
4 115 Elijah Sarratt, WR Indiana
4 133 Matthew Hibner, TE SMU
5 162 Chandler Rivers, CB Duke
5 173 Josh Cuevas, TE Alabama
5 174 Adam Randall, RB Clemson
6 211 Ryan Eckley, P  Michigan State
7 250 Rayshaun Benny, DL  Michigan
7 253 Evan Beerntsen, OG  Northwestern

🔴 Chiefs (+1600)

The Kansas City Chiefs traded two mid-round picks to Cleveland to move up to select Mansoor Delane at No. 6, hoping he quickly fulfills his potential and replaces Trent McDuffie.

While those are large cleats to fill, Delane is the best CB in the draft. It was a smart, if not necessary, play by the Chiefs, who will also look forward to having Walker significantly improve their run game. Speaking of which, the Chiefs grabbed RB Emmett Johnson with the No. 161 pick, adding depth to the position.

With their first four picks used on defensive players, the Chiefs are focused on returning to fielding a top-10 defense.

Draft Rating: A-

Round  Pick  Player/Position  College
1 6 Mansoor Delane, CB  LSU
1 29 Peter Woods, DT Clemson
2 40 R Mason Thomas, Edge Oklahoma
4 109 Jadon Canady, CB Oregon
5 161 Emmett Johnson, RB Nebraska
5 176 Cyrus Allen, WR Cincinnati
7 249 Garrett Nussmeier, QB LSU

🦅 Eagles (+1600)

Say what you will about Howie Roseman, but at least he does things with conviction. Another aggressive draft resulted in the Philadelphia Eagles leapfrogging the Pittsburgh Steelers to snag receiver Makai Lemon with the 20th pick.

Roseman needed to act after seeing a mass exodus during NFL free agency. Lemon was the most-talked-about pick in the draft, not only because he sways perpetually like a snake when he talks, but also because he might be good enough to replace A.J. Brown.

I like their second pick, Eli Stowers, who's touted as a superb combo slot receiver/tight end.

Draft Rating: B+

Round  Pick  Player/Position  College
1 20 Makai Lemon, WR USC
2 54 Eli Stowers, TE Vanderbilt
3 68 Markel Bell, OT  Miami
5 178 Cole Payton, QB North Dakota State
6 207 Micah Morris, OG  Georgia
7 244 Cole Wisniewski, S  Texas Tech
7 251 Uar Bernard, DT IPP program
7 252 Keyshawn James-Newby, Edge  New Mexico

🤠 Cowboys (+3500)

The Dallas Cowboys, while not among the Super Bowl contenders, secured the steal of the first round, trading two fifth-round picks for the right to move up one place and select safety Caleb Downs.

He should be an elite defender in the secondary for years, offering Dallas a focal point to build from. That wasn't their only first-round pick, as the Cowboys drafted edge rusher Malachi Lawrence at No. 23, who moves with the agility and speed of a smaller player.

Add those two players to a unit that includes last season's acquisition Quinnen Williams, and the Cowboys will no longer field one of the worst defenses. Far from it.

Draft Rating: B+

Round  Pick  Player/Position  College
1 11 Caleb Downs, S USC
1 23 Malachi Lawrence, Edge Vanderbilt
3 92 Jaishawn Barham, Edge  Miami
4 112 Drew Shelton, OT  North Dakota State
4 114 Devin Moore, CB Georgia
4 137 LT Overton, DL  Texas Tech
7 218 Anthony Smith, WR IPP program
