With everyone expected to report to their teams within the next week, it's a perfect time to weigh in with some NFL futures bets to make before training camp.

I'm featuring last season's MVP Matthew Stafford, along with the two appealing picks to make the 2026 postseason.

🔮 Best NFL futures to make before training camp

Check out our NFL picks throughout the season.

Green Bay Packers to make the playoffs (-112)

Injuries cost the Green Bay Packers dearly toward the end of the 2025 season, the most impactful of which saw Micah Parsons suffer a season-ending ACL injury in Week 15. The Packers also had to cope without tight end Tucker Kraft after he sustained the same injury beforehand in Week 9, the other most notable absence in the lineup.

While Parsons will be out for the first five or six weeks, the Packers face teams they should be able to cope with in his absence, including the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Matthew Stafford Over 3925.5 passing yards (-114)

Stafford threw for a career-best 4,707 passing yards last season, which was enough to win MVP. While he is among the MVP odds contenders, Stafford is closer to 10th than first.

He has eclipsed the required total in four of the previous six seasons, with one of the exclusions due to an injury-riddled 2022 season.

The Rams might not put up the gaudy numbers they managed last year, but I expect them to be among the league's top offenses again. Unless Stafford gets injured, a distinct possibility, I expect him to have another proficient passing season under center.

Denver Broncos to make the playoffs (-145)

Eleven of the Denver Broncos' wins last season were by no more than eight points. That points to a likely regression from their 14-3 record. While they might not finish with the AFC's best record, the Broncos have the coach and personnel in place to comfortably make the playoffs for a third straight season.

Bo Nix, who has a clean bill of health entering preseason, has shown he's more than capable of running Sean Payton's system. The franchise quarterback should only get better with more time and experience, and Patrick Surtain will also be ready to go after recovering from a partially torn pectoral muscle.

While their offense is efficient enough, Denver will go as far as its top-five defense, which should be elite once more.
