Fantasy football championships aren't won in the first round - they're won by identifying players who significantly outperform their draft position. Every season produces breakout stars who become weekly starters despite being drafted outside the early rounds.

Whether it's a young player stepping into a larger role, a veteran in a new offense, or an overlooked talent ready for a breakout campaign, these five fantasy football sleepers to target offer tremendous value entering the 2026 fantasy football season.

🏈 What makes a fantasy football sleeper?

Before diving into our picks, here's what qualifies as a sleeper:

  • ADP outside the early rounds
  • Increased workload or opportunity
  • Improved offensive situation
  • Strong advanced metrics
  • High weekly upside he is

1️⃣ Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks

There are plenty of question marks surrounding Zach Charbonnet entering the 2026 NFL season, as he continues to recover from the torn ACL he suffered during the 2025 playoffs. As a result, his average draft position (ADP) has fallen into the low 40s, creating excellent value for fantasy managers willing to be patient. If Charbonnet returns to full health, he has the talent to become a weekly starter and could provide a major boost during the fantasy playoffs.

With Kenneth Walker signing with the Chiefs, Seattle's backfield should belong entirely to Charbonnet once he is cleared to play. That combination of discounted draft cost, projected workload, and late-season upside makes him one of the best sleeper picks in 2026 fantasy football drafts.

Where would I be comfortable drafting Charbonnet?

I would be comfortable drafting Zach Charbonnet in the fifth round, even though his current ADP sits in the early 40s for running backs. The potential reward far outweighs the risk, especially with Kenneth Walker no longer on the roster. If Charbonnet returns to full health, he has legitimate RB1 upside thanks to his projected workload and three-down skill set. Securing that type of ceiling a round ahead of consensus could prove to be a league - winning decision.

2️⃣ Tyler Shough, QB, Saints

Tyler Shough is one of the biggest sleeper quarterbacks in fantasy football entering the 2026 season. He finished the 2025 campaign as one of the hottest fantasy quarterbacks in the league, showcasing his ability to produce both through the air and with his legs. The Saints also upgraded his supporting cast by adding rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, giving Shough another explosive weapon alongside an improving offense. With his ADP currently in the low 20's, I think that is a little to late for a player with Shough's upside.

With greater continuity in the system and an expanded group of playmakers, Shough is in position to build on his late-season success. Considering his inexpensive draft cost, he offers tremendous value and legitimate QB1 upside for fantasy managers willing to wait on quarterback.

Where would I be comfortable drafting Shough?

I would have no problem drafting Tyler Shough in the sixth round, even with his ADP sitting around 21 for quarterbacks. He proved during the second half of last season that he can produce elite fantasy numbers, and the Saints have only improved his supporting cast by adding Jordyn Tyson. Quarterbacks with legitimate top - five upside are worth targeting aggressively, and selecting Shough a round ahead of consensus could give your fantasy team a weekly advantage at the position.

3️⃣ Greg Dulcich, TE, Dolphins

Greg Dulcich is one of the best late-round sleeper tight ends in fantasy football entering the 2026 season. Despite possessing game-breaking athleticism, his ADP ranks just 31st among tight ends, making him virtually free in most drafts. Dulcich should benefit from playing with Malik Willis, a quarterback who has consistently shown a willingness to check the ball down when plays break down.

That tendency could lead to a steady stream of targets for the explosive receiving tight end. With his ability to stretch the field, create yards after the catch, and capitalize on mismatches against linebackers and safeties, Dulcich has the upside to dramatically outperform his draft position and become a reliable weekly fantasy starter.

Where would I be comfortable drafting Dulcich?

I'm more than comfortable selecting Greg Dulcich in the late rounds because the risk is minimal while the upside is significant. At his current draft cost, you're investing almost nothing in a player with the athleticism to finish well above his positional ranking. Malik Willis' tendency to check the ball down only increases Dulcich's target potential, making him an ideal stash who could quickly develop into a dependable starting fantasy tight end.

4️⃣ Jalen Nailor, WR, Raiders

Jaylen Nailor is one of the most intriguing sleeper wide receivers in fantasy football entering the 2026 season. Despite his impressive big-play ability and expanding role in the offense, his average draft position (ADP) sits in the high 60s, making him an incredible late-round value. Nailor has shown he can stretch the field, create separation, and turn limited opportunities into explosive gains.

If his target share continues to grow, he has the potential to emerge as a reliable weekly flex option with WR2 upside. Fantasy managers looking for high-ceiling players should have Nailor firmly on their radar. At his current draft cost, he offers tremendous value with very little risk, making him an ideal sleeper selection.

Where would I be comfortable drafting Dulcich?

Jaylen Nailor is exactly the type of player I like targeting in the late rounds because he offers tremendous upside with very little risk. His current ADP in the high 60s doesn't reflect his breakout potential or ability to produce explosive plays. If his role continues to expand, Nailor could quickly become a weekly fantasy contributor. That's the kind of lottery-ticket pick worth taking near the end of every fantasy football draft.

5️⃣ Antonio Williams, WR, Commanders

Antonio Williams is one of the most exciting sleeper wide receivers in fantasy football entering the 2026 season. His combination of speed, route-running ability, and reliable hands gives him the tools to significantly outperform his draft position. As he continues to earn a larger role within the offense, Williams has the opportunity to become a consistent target and produce meaningful fantasy numbers on a weekly basis.

He has already flashed the ability to create separation and generate explosive plays after the catch, making him an intriguing late - round selection. Fantasy managers searching for upside should have Williams high on their sleeper list. If his target volume continues to increase, he has the talent to emerge as a valuable flex option with the potential to finish well above expectations.

Where would I be comfortable drafting Williams?

Antonio Williams is well worth a late-round pick because he offers far more upside than most players available at that stage of the draft. If he continues to earn additional targets and carve out a larger offensive role, he could quickly become a reliable fantasy contributor. Late-round selections should be spent on players with breakout potential, and Williams fits that profile perfectly. His talent and opportunity make him an excellent value pick with minimal downside.
