A banged-up Boston Celtics squad hosts the surging New York Knicks, and we're offering our Knicks vs. Celtics player props based on the best NBA odds.

The New York Knicks (47-32) are on a roll, pulling off two consecutive road victories and aiming to extend their winning streak to three as they face the Boston Celtics (62-17) at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, on Thursday night.

According to our best sports betting sites, the Knicks are favored by 2.5 points on the road against Boston. The Celtics, however, face uncertainty as five of their top six players are listed as questionable for the game, which is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

While the Celtics lead the NBA Championship odds, containing the formidable Jalen Brunson is no simple feat. However, the key to victory for the Celtics may lie in neutralizing Brunson's supporting cast.

Here are our best Knicks vs. Celtics player prop prediction and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Knicks vs. Celtics prediction

Donte DiVincenzo Under 17.5 points (-105 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐

With arguably the best defense in the NBA, on a regular night the Celtics would probably have the Under on DiVincenzo's point total at shorter odds. But Boston is listing Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford as questionable for this game. Even still, it's likely a few of those linchpins will play alongside starting shooting guard Derrick White.

White is the key to this Under, too. He's playing at an NBA All-Defensive Team level for the second straight year and is a major reason why Boston is fifth in the NBA in points allowed (109.1) and second in defensive rating (113.0).

With White at the two, Boston has limited shooting guards to the fourth-fewest points per game in the NBA (20.55) and the sixth-fewest3-pointers (3.0) - that's why he was in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year odds race for much of the season.

White has the 11th-best defensive rating of players who have played at least 50 games this season (109.6) and is 18th in the league in defensive win shares (3.5). He's been a lockdown defender and that's why we're jumping at these odds from Betway. They imply a 51.22% probability the Under hits, according to our odds calculator, with a $10 bet leading to a $9.52 profit.

Jalen Brunson Over 30.5 points (+100 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Without knowing who exactly will take the court for Boston, it makes it hard to project just how effective the Knicks' offense will be on Thursday. But one thing is for certain, Brunson will have plenty of opportunities to continue his hot streak - he has the sixth-highest usage rate among players who have played at least 50 games (30.9%).

If the Celtics are down even one of Holiday, Brown, or Tatum, it will make it that much more possible for the Knicks All-Star to produce his fifth straight game of at least 31 points and his sixth in his last eight outings.

Brunson appears to be peaking at the right time with the NBA playoffs right around the corner. The one-time All-Star is averaging 28.4 points per game on the season but has been even more explosive in his last seven games. Since his 61-point performance against the Sacramento Kings on March 29, Brunson is averaging 38.4 points.

Though it's unlikely he'll reach that number against this Celtics defense, Boston has been less stingy against point guards this season. Joe Mazzulla's team allows the 11th-most points per game in the league to point guards (24.74). These even-money odds from Betway imply a 50% chance that Brunson scores at least 30 with a $10 wager paying out $20 if he hits the Over.

OG Anunoby Under 19.5 points + rebounds + assists (-105 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐

No team in the NBA stymies power forwards quite like the Celtics. Obviously, their ability to do so is thanks to Tatum, Porzingis, and Horford, which is why this is just a three-star play assuming at least one of them won't be taking the court Thursday. Still, Anunoby is among the Knicks' least consistent offensive players and there's always potential for him to turn in a dud.

The defensive specialist is averaging 20.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists this season but has played just six games since Jan. 29. In those six games he's putting up 17.3 points, rebounds, and assists and has gone Under 19.5 three times. This is also a Boston defense that allows the fewest points in the NBA to power forwards, and the sixth-fewest assists and 11th-fewest rebounds.

The odds from Betway would payout $19.50 if Anunoby hits the Under, with the likelihood he does being 51.22%.
