Two teams with similar records hovering around .500 square off tonight from Comerica Park in Detroit beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET (FOX), and one will hope it's emerging offense keeps rising.
The Rangers vs. Tigers win probability shows increasing faith that Detroit's offense will lead the team out of its current funk that's resulted in just two wins across the past seven games.
The Tigers' win probability at the prediction market apps has been growing steadily, no doubt also due to the presence of Kumar Rocker on the mound for Texas, who seems likely to regress.

There's been a significant swing in the win probability tied to this game, resulting in the Tigers becoming the new favorites. That happened Thursday night amid a now $45,432 in trading volume.
The Tigers began as the 47% underdog before shifting to a 54% chance to win. It's a swing that's come as Detroit has dropped three of its past four games, including the opening contest of this series 5-4.
It's somewhat puzzling, though perhaps the market is eyeing continued effectiveness from the Tigers' offense, and regression from Rocker. The Tigers sit sixth MLB-wide with a .737 OPS, and although his early-season ERA of 3.38 is far better than Rocker's 5.74 last year, there are signs of doom looming.
His average exit velocity allowed has improved, but it's still poor while sitting in the 28th percentile, according to Baseball Savant. But the most alarming sign is his hard-hit rate allowed, which is right in line with last year's awfulness (47.6% now and 47.5% then) when he ended the campaign in the bottom 5% leaguewide.
My prediction: Tigers win. Rocker's sinker, his most-used pitch, is also getting rocked to the tune of a .319 batting average allowed.

💣 Who will hit a home run in Rangers vs. Tigers?
There are two main contenders in this market, which is drawing nearly $1,500 in betting volume.
Both suit up for the Rangers, with Brandon Nimmo receiving a 13% probability of going deep, and his teammate Corey Seager comfortably ahead of him at 18%.
They're facing a Tigers starter in Keider Montero whose fly-ball rate has risen notably, moving from 27.1% last year to 32.9% now. He's historically homer-prone too, with an HR/9 of 1.6 or greater during each of Montero's previous two MLB seasons.
Much like Rocker, his average exit velocity allowed and hard-hit rate given up both sit in the 26th percentile or worse. He's given up 10 earned runs across his past three starts too, including two dingers last time out.
My prediction: Corey Seager to hit a home run. Seager has clubbed six homers already, and the lefty roasts righties while putting up an .825 OPS. For more home run analysis, see the rest of our home run predictions today from our MLB expert Mike Spector.
⚾ Will there be a run in the first inning of Rangers vs. Tigers?
We face opposing trajectories throughout the season here amid just over $1,000 in trading volume.
The Tigers are one of the league's better NRFI teams, due in part to an offense that was once scuffling more and still sits a pedestrian 13th in runs scored. Detroit is tied for MLB's eighth-best NRFI record at 19-14.
However, the Rangers are among the most dominant YRFI teams, despite their own offensive issues from a team that sits 27th in scoring. The bewilderment continues, as Texas boasts MLB's fourth-best pitching staff by ERA (3.48).
And yet the Rangers are frequently involved in games featuring a first-inning run on either side, entering tonight tied for the league's second-best YRFI record at 20-12. They're even better when on the road and sit at 12-5.
My prediction: Yes run in the first inning. It's easy to agree with the movement here that's resulted in the probability of a run in the first inning moving from a low of 43% to now resting at 48%. Whether it's through Rocker suddenly regressing or Montero getting pounced on again, early damage feels likely.
