💰 Best Mets vs. Giants predictions for Sunday Night Baseball
Here are my best Mets vs. Giants Sunday Night Baseball predictions for today's MLB matchup with my pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale. Be sure to check out the rest of our MLB picks along with our guide on how to bet on the MLB.
📊 Who will win today's Sunday Night Baseball matchup?
As of Sunday morning, the Mets are favored to beat the Giants in today's MLB matchup at 7:10 p.m. ET from Oracle Park in San Francisco. I’m predicting the Mets will beat the Giants as -142 moneyline favorites, despite the underdog winning each of the last five head-to-head meetings between these teams.
🎯 Best Mets vs. Giants player props for Sunday Night Baseball
The Mets have seemingly been cautious with Kodai Senga in his two starts since returning from the IL on July 11. Senga has recorded 12 outs or fewer in those two starts and thrown an average of 70 pitches.
While that lowers his ceiling for strikeouts considerably, I wanted to get more creative with my best Mets vs. Giants player prop for Sunday Night Baseball, as the Under on Senga’s 5.5 strikeouts is out of our price range, juiced as high as -174 at FanDuel.
The Giants are using an opener in Matt Gage, and he has failed to record a strikeout in three of his last five appearances. There is a great chance he ends the first inning without a strikeout, especially since Francisco Lindor’s strikeout rate is expected to drop for the third straight season, and Juan Soto has an elite 11.5% strikeout rate over the last seven days.
Senga has at least five strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts, and we would feel great about our chances of netting $21 in profits on a $10 wager if Gage does not record a strikeout within his first three outs.
Best player prop: Kodai Senga to record the first strikeout (+210 via bet365)

1️⃣ NRFI/YRFI bet for Sunday Night Baseball: NRFI (-120 via DraftKings)
The Giants have one of the worst NRFI records (45-59) of any team in the league, while New York’s NRFI record is 53-51. Even in Senga’s worst start of the season his last time out when he allowed four earned runs in three innings, he did not allow a first-inning run.
That has me leaning again to no runs being scored in the first inning as part of my Mets vs. Giants best bets for Sunday Night Baseball.
